But tickets are twice as much now, so is it really something to brag about? Tickets in my area start at 15 for seniors and children and 18 for adults now. Imax is $24 for an adult. It's getting ridiculous.

I'm not sure what is going on. Maybe they aren't getting the box office results they were hoping for with this last Star Wars films and they are getting cold feet in moving forward with the Obi Wan show.

Well, Marvel for the most part is doing pretty good under the Disney banner, so whatever the problem is, it's coming from the Star Wars unit. Hate to say it, but the fingers keep pointing to Kathleen Kennedy. She may be a good producer, but she seems to be terrible at managing an entire studio. I'm curious if they are just letting the show sit back for a while till her contract is up (as well as Bob Iger's) and then they will let production resume when new people are brought in. Rumors are that Favreau is in talks with taking over, and at the moment, I won't reject the idea.

Funny you say that. I have never, ever subscribe to HBO until when GOT season 7 came, and as soon as it was done, I cancelled. And then I did it again this season, and actually put in my cancellation back on Monday. HBO execs are the real ones who fucked up. I see the one president of HBO making some lame excuse that he didn't want to botch up Benioff and Weiss's vision, but come on, your job isn't to protect shitty writers. Your job is to keep the subscribers happy, and you failed at your job, miserably. I'm surprised Time Warner hasn't fired him yet because he is pretty much pissing away potential major money makers. Already shot down the Arya spinoff. Seriously, if I was Time Warner, I would be like, bye bitch, be gone with ya!

Thank you guys for teaching me a valuable lesson. To not get into a serial TV show until it's finally done with and I have a good idea that the show went out on a high note, so I don't waste my time. Of course, I will give some exceptions. Like Stranger Things, but I think it's more the 80's nostalgia more than anything. But again, thank you for helping me relearn my lesson. You would think after Heroes, The Walking Dead and Once Upon a Time I would have been more wary.

Or they knew something that we don't, like maybe behind closed doors, they were offered the project by Disney and it's just getting out now. You don't think it's odd that Disney has hired two of GOT major actors into some of their franchises. Clarke in that Solo movie, and Dinklage in Infinity War. There is a lot of backstabbing going on among studios too. I remember Joss Whedon being let go from Marvel, and now he's part of DC, Marvel's direct competitor. Disney also had James Gunn fired and he went on to DC as well, and now they are hiring him back because no one wants to take up the GOTG sequel. There is a lot of stuff going behind the scenes we don't know about until years later. I also find it interesting that the parent company that owns HBO also had the last of the rights of HULU and somehow DIsney got them to sign over the rest of Hulu to them. Why is it that whatever Disney wants, they get, with hardly no fights or counter offers from other competitors?

I keep reading stuff on how GRRM actually personally helped write the scripts for the first few seasons, but then he stopped around season 5. People were thinking he was going back to finish up the books, but then I see interviews with him where he says he doesn't follow the main show anymore, but he has been helping HBO out with the "successors". So, could HBO have been contractually obligated to keep Benioff and Weiss for the Game of Thrones, but these new successors are their back up plans in case these two guys indeed try to sink a champion ship? Does anyone know of these rumors or what they think of these new shows and why GRRM chose to help these projects out instead of the main course?

The only plot I didn't like was all the drama between Arya and the Waif. I would have been more than happy to know she went there to train just like she was training with Serio Forel, and it could have been either when she see Meryn Trant and kills him, that Jaqen H'gar kicks her out, or he gets a visit from one of the red priests that it's time for Arya to go home for the great war.

Uh, I was honestly expecting the Long Night to truly be final fight, the battle of the Seven Kingdoms against the White Walkers. I also was expecting one of Cersei's younger brothers killing her, either to stop her from doing some crazy shit, or Arya with one of their faces, or my personal favorite, Jaime is now a wight, and Cersei doesn't realize it until he finally goes after and kills her. I was expecting Jon sacrificing himself for the greater good, and Dany dying on the birthing bed with maybe Sansa raising the heir of the Seven Kingdoms. I was expecting Arya to take a killing blow, but Sandor gives her the kiss of life and brings her back like Beric was going to do in the books with Lady Stoneheart. I just can't see Sandor being brought back just to kill his brother. I felt he was here for a higher purpose. Something to do with the Red Priests or taking on Thoros role. What we got, was a total let down with pretty much every character ruined.

I agree. My favorite part of this show was back in season 3 and 4, when Arya and the Hound were on their little journey. It wasn't the fights that made it so endearing, it was the small talk. When I seen that they were going to get paired up again on their journey to Kings Landing I thought we would get some nice dialogue between the two, but nothing. Seriously, if these guys didn't want to do the show, why didn't they just bow out and let someone else take over. I'm sure there are plenty people out there that would love to take a crack at this.

You got that right. Jaime- spent a good chunk of the series trying to slowly redeem himself, and with the knowledge from the books that Cersei would die from being strangled by her younger brother, I was looking forward to her finally getting killed by the very guy she had been belittle and insulting the whole time. When he finds out she was screwing Euron, that should have been the last straw and he end it there, instead of what we got. Now, when I watch the series, I simply do not care about him at all, because all the character development was for nothing. The Hound. So, you mean to tell me that the Lord of Light brought him back just to kill his zombie brother, who was dead in the books a long time ago? Seriously, the way he was falling in with the brotherhood without banners, I'd figure he would turn a new leaf and start a path becoming a red priestess. I know everyone was excited about this Clegane Bowl, but, I was being led to believe he would be something more. Tyrion. WTF? Varys saves his life, plans on introducing him to Queen Daenerys and be given a second chance at life to undo all the bad his Lannister family has caused Westeros, only to throw the man under a bus (even though it was Tyrion who told him about Jon's true parentage to begin with). Then, same episode, he betrays Dany by freeing his brother. Arya. WTF? Why in the hell was she here to begin with? I bet she had more scenes than anyone else in this episode, and it was all for nothing. She should have just stayed in Winterfell and marry Gendry, that way we can finally have Jon Snow do something great for once in this entire season.

Don't forget the group that chased after Sansa and tried to gang rape her. Honestly, I can understand why she snapped. She lost nearly everything important to her to avoid hurting these innocent people, and in the end, nobody cared. Instead, they just loved Jon Snow, or Sansa or Arya. I also wonder if she was also just blazing through the city in hopes to kill Jon, because she will not give up the throne without a fight.
