Not sure why so many people are surprised that Jack Dylan Grazer steals the show. Kid was fucking awesome in It and looked great in the trailers and tv spots.
Now THESE are reactions we don't usually see for DC films in recent years. Sure they talked up Aquaman, but it always felt a bit reserved. Nice to see people gushing about this and I'm very happy for David Sandberg because he's so awesome on social media and it's good to see the two horror guys helping get DC back on the right path.
Well, it's social media embargo is up on Thursday so we'll start to get some idea, but I'm done taking them for granted after the Aquaman fiasco where it just kept dropping on review day.
I actually think it will be pretty close either way. I think both will be in the 80's and around 7/10.
WOW ... allowing reactions on Captain Marvel opening night ... bold move and shows they give no fucks and are likely very confident.
The film getting reactions this early (and supposedly reviews on 23rd) is probably because they think need an extra kick of momentum leading into release.
I enjoyed Will Smith playing Will Smith as Deadshot, but he's expendable. Harley is the only one that matters for general audiences. Maybe we can bring in another female like Killer Frost or Poison Ivy? Go with Bronze Tiger for this film. Also, could be chance to put Deathstroke on the squad ... or Bane, King Shark, etc. Lots of new choices.
Yeah, if production is really starting in September I can't imagine them holding it off to August 2021. If a Suicide Squad movie takes 18 months of post production, they're making the wrong Suicide Squad movie.
Yeah, I don't get that notion of waiting for Captain Marvel when Avengers is gonna be on your tail within a few weeks of CM coming out.
I mean in general I'm just baffled by this notion of WB having still only put out one full trailer 7 months ago (and now we're like 44 days from release ... but they've been very successful the last year, not really having any bombs, so I guess I'll trust them to have a plan ... I mean, I would hope they do.
So Aquaman is now 6.4 million short of Iron Man 3 for largest overseas total for solo superhero film. Coming off 7 million week, should get it with a million or two to spare.

Either they want to spend 1 1/2 years on post production (which is possible given WW 2) but seems like a bit much for SS, or maybe it will end up actually releasing earlier than August 2021.
The notion that Harley wasn't going to be one of the leads a few days ago was baffling. No way WB would avoid putting her right in front ... and now we see the story that yeah she'll be there.
lol ... no.
David loves messing around with the crazy people ... also one of the few directors who will go on DC subreddits and explain things from time to time.
