  1. is there going to be a Summer box office game? looks like we'll have enough big films coming out to do one...
  2. Is there going to be a Summer movie game this year? its looking more and more likely like we will actually get one this summer.

  4. If Disney sticks to their theatrical only release strategy for their marvel films and if all 3 of their films release this year. they should easily win. could be the only studio to have films over $200m. Raya $24m BW $69/$180m Cruella $15/$30m Shang-Chi $70m/$190m Eternals $80m/$220m
  5. Nah they're not dead. people are still scared. but they are starting to come out more. well we ever see pre covid numbers again ? I don't know. but there are already signs of recovery. by 2023, maybe 2022. theaters should be if not completely recovered, well on their way too it. I haven't gone to theaters much since they opened here in Sept. but there isn't much to watch thb. and I am busier now too. I do plan on seeing all the big stuff in theaters though.
  6. So was Hamilton not eligible? easily my favorite "film" of last year. Palm Springs was pretty dope though. Tenet was good but definitely not Nolan's best work. but when you cancel 75% of films in a year I guess it is going to be a downer one. still have a lot to catch up on. only seen 15 so far.
  7. Even if there is a vaccine by winter? (which is looking likely) I got to be honest I am really hesitant to take any vaccine. but if there is one that has shown significant success rate there is no justifying keeping theaters closed. What do you mean by consolidate? you mean merge with streaming planforms? that is probably likely.
  8. Moving WW84 outside of 2020 would be disastrous. without massive aid from a stimulus movie theaters will be virtually extinct come next spring, if they refuse to release anything. I think they will get some kind of aid, but they need it SOON. unfortunately many Americans are still really scared from the virus. I have gone to the theaters twice post shutdown now and there was almost no one there. I actually felt safer there then I do going to the grocery store. This is going to be a long road to recovery for the theater industry, even if they said that could open 100% of theaters a

  11. Dang it, I was literally working on my top 100 to send it, but I had to run to do something.
  12. I would love it if it were Dune, WW84, had a strong chance pre-pandemic. probably not anymore.. realistically maybe Eternals, could be something really sad like F9 or Minions 2 though. thanks to all this reshuffling I just realized most of my most anticipated movies won't come out until 2022 now. (Matrix 4, DS 2, Thor 4, )
  13. One thing I'm glad from this shutdown is that it took Disney down a few notches. and I like alot of thier content, but we do not want them to be a monopoly. which is what they were becoming.
  14. Yeah, Theaters will not want to open up without knowing they will have a steady stream of new content to release. some might do some re-releases a week or two before they are released. but they are not going to make much money off of old movies.
