    I'll dispute the last point a bit, Civil War is looking pretty strong in the PLF screens I've checked. Should be enough to squeak out number 1 imo. Or at least beat Back in Black, probably the panda stays at number 1.

    Crunchyroll do full wide releases generally. Anime, especially series adaptations have been exploding the last few years. Original movies outside of Ghibli are growing too, but not at the same level yet.

    Yes, but these are the kinds of people that tried to tell the world Titanic was doomed back in early 97. Execs in the movie industry don't seem to actually know how to gauge the quality of their own product.

    It's everywhere in London, but yeah, feels like a bomb incoming Dune tonight at Odeon Leicester Square has more than double the sales of opening night for this 😬

    Feel like in terms of a movies prospects, Top Gun Maverick has been the biggest gainer from Cinemacon. That seemed to go in to overdrive after it screened for the theater owners.

    One thing I gotta ask with the way Conan has exploded the last few years, is this a new audience being found, or is this ticket prices finally going up combined with premium formats being a big factor? Conan was always good for a solid 5-7bn up until the last few years right?

    I ditched Cineworld for Odeon last year (just way more convenient in central London), so far this year I've used it a total of.... Once 😅 yay fatherhood.

    Blows my mind that from what I can gather here, no chain offers a dedicated family ticket of any kind. Most of the chains here in the UK have a 1 adult and 1 child ticket now where both pay the kids price.

    Weebs are weird 🤣 I was kinda underwhelmed by season 2. Amazing animation and fights but left me feeling kinda empty at the end.
