  1. Every showing in Eastbourne since Thursday has sold out an hour in advance. Going tomorrow should be interesting.
  2. I highly doubt that's the case. Probably more down to the majority of games sites revenues being down to advertising from games companies, leading to more pressure from them to publish a good review lest they lose that revenue.
  3. I know what you mean about the gym Baumer. I feel that I've gone too long since I had a workout, think I last went a week ago.
  4. What i'm talking about is the fact that unless the game is a new level of terrible (Duke Nukem Forever) You'd be lucky to see a big budget game go any lower than a 7/10. Compare that to film where it doesn't matter what the caliber of the film is, if it's a turd a lot of reviewers will call it a turd.
  5. Games reviewing is a pretty corrupt system, as a trashed review for a game such as Resident Evil 6 would have a score of 7 on IGN. If that were a Resident Evil movie of supposedly similar quality, it would get a 4 or less out of 10. The people that do reviews are so bought and paid for it's unreal, to the point that unless a review is exceptionally glowing or exceptionally negative, there is really next to no point reading most of them.
  6. Adele Exarchopoulos pretty much beats any other performance I've seen this year.
  7. Let's see.... 1 = Pacific Rim / Rush 3. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire 4. Gravity 5 = Frozen / Despicable Me 2 / Monsters University 8. Blue Is The Warmest Colour 9. Fast and Furious 6 10. Star Trek Into Darkness 11. Thor: The Dark World 12. Man of Steel 13. Now You See Me 14. The Conjuring 15. The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug 16. We're The Millers 17. Pain and Gain 18. Kick Ass 2 19. Iron Man 3 20. This is The End 21. The World's End 22. Gangster Squad 23. Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters 24. Carrie 25. Warm Bodies 26. Evil Dead 27. Prisoners 28. Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters 29. The Croods 30. G I Joe Retaliation 31. Grown Ups 2 32. The Purge 33. The Bling Ring 34. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 35. A Good Day to Die Hard
  8. We haven't got anything past the second, but it's at least a good indicator. I think we're likely to get Mandela, while AH well certainly have more than 2 screenings per day.
  9. I don't feel any buzz for Mitty, or Ronin. I just looked at my cineworld listings for the new year, we AREN'T getting paranormal activity! Is this the year the franchise really crashes and burns?
  10. I'd love to see Adele Exarchopoulos get in, she was astoundingly good in Blue is the Warmest colour.
  11. Ashford cineworld has gone full retard. Dhoom 3 sells out every single screening, so what do they do on Friday? Drop it! What the Fuck?!
  12. He had a good eye but too long a leash. Stick him on a reasonable sized leash and he'd do a good job
  13. I've always been intrigued by that, but never watched it.
  14. My mum and I are watching Die Hard tomorrow morning to gear ourselves up for the day
  15. If it weren't for the Documentary Senna, I think you could make a really good narrative film out of the San Marino grand prix weekend from 94. One big worrying crash followed by two tragedies including the biggest guy in the sport akin to the loss of Dale Erndhart (spelling?). It seems tailor made for a crushing drama.
  16. I LOVE Semi Pro. Wasn't expecting a great deal from it but was laughing the whole way through. Anchorman was the polar opposite.
  17. Talladega Nights, Step Brothers and Semi Pro are all better than the first Anchorman.
  18. it's a joke man, I'm not serious. I think stuff like Madagascar is shit which is unpopular in some circles, and I hate Ice Age.
  19. Watched Blue Is The Warmest Colour yesterday. That was a cracking film. Going to watch A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas when I get home tonight in good ol 3D.
