  1. You will need to change your avatar to this when it does what you've constantly reminded us was impossible and crosses 400m:
  2. Forgot he was involved with Y1. Either way though it's one of his worse reviewed ones, and it's likely headed towards rotten.
  3. I meant as far as its commercial prospects it looked like a huge stinker. Critically it's not doing much better. It's pretty much got the worst reviews of any Apatow associated flick to date. And I have no idea what you're talking about as far as me never seeing any appeal for The Vow. I totally knew that would break out, it seemed like a sure bet to me. The marketing was downright brilliant, about the only way that marketing didn't hit you is if you were the owner of a penis. As for TLO, I was cautiously optimistic on it since it was Sparks and his stuff tends to have a female following. TLAM totally caught me off guard, but I certainly wasn't the only one.
  4. It's interesting that both TLO and TLAM beat 5YE in their 2nd weekends. 5YE must really not be appealing to the date night audience whatsoever.
  5. Same. It always looked like a huge stinker to me. Just never saw any appeal with it whatsoever. Still the fact that it may not even crack 30m total is just pathetic for anything with Apatow's name on it.
  6. Not necessarily. Nikki gave 3.8m last Friday in her late night update for THG and then it went up to $4m with BOMs Friday estimates. So it could still go back up.
  7. Updated numbers: 1. Think Like A Man (Screen Gems/Sony) Week 2 [2,015 Theaters] PG13 Friday $5.2M (-57%), Weekend $17.5M, Cume $60.0M 2. The Lucky One (Warner Bros) Week 2 [3,175 Theaters] PG13 Friday $3.9M (-57%), Weekend $12M, Cume $40.2M 3. The Five-Year Engagement (Universal) NEW [2,936 Theaters] R Friday $3.8M, Weekend $11.7M 4. The Hunger Games (Lionsgate) Week 6 [3,572 Theaters] PG13 Friday $2.9M, Weekend $10.7M, Cume $372.3M 5. Pirates! Band of Misfits (Sony) NEW [3,358 Theaters] PG Friday $2.8M, Weekend $10.6M 6. Safe (Lionsgate) NEW [2,266 Theaters] R Friday $2.6M, Weekend $6.8M, 7. The Raven (Intrepid/Relativity) NEW [2,203 Theaters] R Friday $2.5M, Weekend $6.6M, 8. Chimpanzee (Disney) Week 2 [1,567 Theaters] G Friday $1.7M, Weekend $5.2M, Cume $18.6M 9. Cabin In The Woods (Lionsgate) Week 3 [2,639 Theaters] R Friday $1.4M, Weekend $4.4M, Cume $34.6M 10. The Three Stooges (Fox) Week 3 [3,105 Theaters] PG Friday $1.3M, Weekend $5.4M, Cume $37.5M http://www.deadline.com/2012/04/first-box-office-judd-apatows-the-five-year-experiment-close-for-1-with-holdover-think-like-a-man-pirates-3/ THG down a bit, but still a great Friday jump for it. Now hopefully it holds in BOM's estimates.
  8. If we assume 11m for this weekend that means it will be at about $375m when TA hits Friday. So it will need about $25m gas in the tank from TA on to do it. Man it;s gonna be close I think!
  9. Nikki did kinda a bizzare update and has THG at #4 with between 3-3.5m for Friday and $11m for the weekend. Get that 25% drop THG!
  10. Since it's not a new release we won't get it till Nikki does refined numbers later tonight. She usually gives those around 12-1am PST or so.
  11. Same, and I find it interesting that some of the bears are apparently her friends even though we know the big one is an enemy.
  12. He almost even wrecked the Muppets for me, and that was a damn near perfect film otherwise, imo.
  13. Thank god, I thought I was the only one who felt that way about him. Everyone I know seems to like him on HIMYM and I just loathe him in everything. One of those guys that just the sight of gets on my nerves.
  14. I personally can't stand Segel. I only tolerate him on HIMYM because it's a funny show but I would much prefer if he weren't on it.
  15. So if 5YE goes down a little more from these early numbers there would be a remote chance it could be #1. That would be nuts if it went back to #1.
  16. Man this weekend is gonna be the first of the year to really be significantly down from the same last year. Fast Five opened this weekend last year, so it's gonna be a bloodbath this weekend compared to last year.
  17. I knew 5YE would disappoint but that's just sad. :unsure:Oh well, bring on TA!!!
  18. As much as I would just absolutely love that, I highly doubt it will only drop 15% this weekend. If it did though then we could officially count 400m as a lock.
  19. Yeah the overall look of the film may share similarities with HTTYD but I'm just saying I don't see any beyond that. The entire plot, concept, and characters of the movie seem very very different. Not to mention there are no dragons to be found here as far as I can tell.
  20. That would be so freakin awesome, a foreign language subtitled animated flick from Pixar! Hey they got away with Wall-E being a silent movie its first half so who knows!
  21. :lol:Please, BD2 just needs to be concerned about approaching BD1 numbers. I wouldn't be surprised if it has another dropoff similar to Eclipse-BD1 and ends up around Prisoner of Azkaban's total.
  22. Name me one thing that reminds you of HTTYD besides the Scottish setting and some animation similarities in the character designs.
