I don't even...I haven't been this disappointed in a movie since, who the fuck knows. Maybe Crystal Skull? Anyway, it was just so, so, so bad. Batman and Superman deserve so much better. MoS was way better than this (I liked MoS fwiw). I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't hit $1b ww now, it may tank hard after this weekend. Sigh...I'm done for the night. Don't want to think about it anymore.

Loved it until the ending. I knew there would be a sci-fi twist, I just didn't like it. John Goodman was fantastic though and MEW was great too. It also totally seemed like they made the movie and then afterwards the studio or JJ was like hey, let's throw 10 Cloverfield on the mailbox and change the title. Which obviously worked as this movie probably wouldn't have even made $25m total, let alone ow, without it in the title. I also read JJ or someone mention a possible "trilogy" of sorts, that may somewhat tie all three movies together, which I would def love so hopefully they make a final "Cloverfield" movie. B for me.

People like going out to see a movie. Hell I have Spotlight on blu-ray but if some friends asked me to go catch it this weekend in theaters I probably would lol.

Wow!!! This is one of, if not the, most shocking opening weekend of all time. Just crazy!

lol you don't compare a $45m cult classic to a $400m blockbuster. Something like Anchorman 2 or Dumb and Dumber to yeah, but even those were way more popular than Zoolander.

I don't know Brian, I don't really see Deadpool as a romantic date movie. 26.5% drop is high though, should be less with Monday being a holiday.

Not really up on China box office trends, but $53m in two days and it won't gross more than $135m for a whole month?? (movies only get 30 days right?)

I don't think the words Leo and easy Oscar winner can be put in the same sentence. Oscar favorite sure, but this isn't Hopkins in Silence of the Lambs or DDL when he gave the goat performance and was a lock for TWBB, etc. Also, great jump for TFA and excellent ow for The Revenant.

I've seen TFA 5 times now, enjoyed them all. Want to catch it one more time in the theaters (maybe 2). My record though is for TDK…I honestly lost count/forgot how many times I saw it in theaters, but it was between 7-10.
