I've seen Exend4ables called the worst movie of the year by quite a few and The Creator looked generic AF outside the visuals. Also a movie where AI is presented as an oppressed minority through the face of a cute little girl isn't very timely given that is currently a hot button issue in the cultural zeitgeist with people losing their jobs to AI(its kinda like 'they tooker jerbs' except real). Their BO performances mean nothing. If Killers of the Flower Moon and Napoleon flop though, yeah that's gonna suck. KIllers I think is in a safer position given the Scorsese/Leo combo, but Napoleon is a total wild card. I don't think its gonna be a critical smash for Ridley Scott like Gladiator or The Martian(though I'd love to be wrong!) was nor a complete wtf turkey like Exodus, I think its gonna land somewhere in the middle(like 65%-80% on RT) which makes it quite hard to predict. Basically, I think it will be like Kingdom of Heaven.

Wasn't like half of Rogue One re-shot without Gareth Edwards? Can you even really call it an Edwards movie? I mean its still bad, imo.

Uhh lol The Martian and Ex Machina were really, really good movies with enticing concepts and not some pretty-but-boring Gareth Edwards flick.

Maybe I'm wrong but I think a Martin Scorsese/Leo collab movie markets itself and doesn't need anyone appearing on Kimmel or one of those morning news/talk shows for a couple minutes promoting the movie.

Marketing appears to be picking up, hopefully a new trailer soon.

Yeah I think I'm gonna pass on this one as I've seen enough similar reactions. I think it will get some decent reviews like Godzilla and Rogue One somehow did but man by the midway point I almost walked out of both of those movies and I don't want that theatrical experience again. I find his movies to be profoundly dull, they are just weirdly lacking that human element in them. There's nothing worse than being bored as fuck in a theater, give me a funny bad movie(House of Gucci) or glorious schlock(THE MEG) over a boring lifeless one any day. I might catch this one on streaming in the background eventually.
