  1. I think there could be sub-40% Monday drops incoming today, similar to what is being forecast domestically. Barbie looks basically as busy as the weekend at places I’m checking and the insane demand for Oppenheimer PLFs/IMAX will cushion it. I think Barbie £3.5m+, Opp £2m+
  2. Also worth a mention is Elemental. It had a pretty decent weekend in the end after recovering from Friday. Down 43%. Should post some good numbers now that kids are on school holidays for 6 weeks.
  3. OMG. Sunday holds must have been out of this world, like almost flat? Absolutely incredible weekend. Barbie and Opp have huge weekdays coming up looking at shows today. £3m for Barbie and near £2m for Opp wouldn’t surprise me.
  4. Both films selling out well into the night tonight, looking more like a Friday night than Sunday. VERY strong Sunday incoming.
  5. Okay no worries, thank you. Maybe the daily breakdown of the openings for SW7, Endgame, No Way Home, Deathly Hallows 2, No Time To Die would be good to know. Sorry it’s probably asking for a lot of info to look up so don’t worry if it’s too much.
  6. I can’t believe how little public info there is for UK boxoffice in terms of daily numbers. Admissions data is also completely non existent. For one of the biggest markets in the world it is incredible.
  7. If it’s easy to get the info, could you please share the top 5 all time daily grosses for Mon through to Sun, and the biggest Fri-Sun openings of all time? Would be good to have a proper list as always so difficult to remember when trying to predict openings or compare.
  8. Fantastic for both but Oppenheimer is mind blowing. Looking like £18m Barbie and £10.5m Oppenheimer. Also great increases for holdovers as expected. Looks like potentially a £13m Saturday if all other films included, must be near the record.
  9. Unsure but looking at shows today I think pretty big, partly helped by poor weather also. Wouldn’t be surprised if Elemental was near double yesterday’s figure.
  10. With these numbers and big increases for holdovers, today must be one of the biggest box office days of all time in the UK
  11. Probably overkill tbh but I’ll check much later to see. The 12:20am show in the big screen at Stratford was over 75% full last night
  12. Shows being added to keep up with demand. 6 post midnight shows at Vue Westfield Shepherds Bush for Barbie! Just insane. I think we could actually see some slight increases today for Barbie and Oppenheimer, or staying flat at least.
  13. Oppy maybe. But Barbie is no way getting to £90m unless something spectacular happens. Even £70m is a big ask.
  14. Probably looking at max £18m for Barbie. £10m is possible for Oppenheimer.
  15. Elemental looks packed everywhere this afternoon, has some sellouts so I think it will have a very nice increase today and continue to perform strongly with school holidays now
  16. As expected both Vue Westfields in the top 3, although surprised Stratford didn’t get 2nd spot. Not surprising Shepherds Bush was top as it had about 55 showings. Also, Manchester Printworks has been absolutely insane in terms of sell outs this weekend for both Barbie and Oppenheimer so makes sense it was in top 5 for the latter. Interesting it wasn’t top 5 for Barbie
  17. With the weather looking more like November right now, everything is going to have a VERY strong Saturday. Barbie and Oppenheimer looking crazy busy all throughout the day and night. The bad weather looks to be sticking around for the foreseeable so cinemas are going to benefit massively.
  18. Holy shit. Huge for both, nice increases from earlier estimates
  19. Yeah, if you consider with all films yesterday probably bringing in over £10m, there is not much capacity left in the market. Even saw a few sellouts for MI7 and Insidious, and Elemental is doing well
  20. Pretty sure it’s Endgame Saturday around £12m
  21. Huge for both. I guess £7m for Barbie was a stretch considering the limited PLFs, so a fantastic number. Looking like £16-17m OW. Oppenheimer number is amazing with its long run time. Hope it can match Dunkirk’s £10m, but maybe £9m looks more realistic. Will be interesting to see how they both hold today. Barbie already had very strong daytime business as schools broke up yesterday although probably a lot of its target audience are older and work. It does seem like the type of film that is quite frontloaded though, so I think maybe flat or a slight decrease. Oppenheimer I think similar given showtime constraints.
  22. Interesting, I’m expecting minimum £6m for Barbie. £5m seems kind of low given the crazy sell outs all over the country
