Crazy number but I had a feeling the "lower" Friday number was due to too many sellouts. Saturday gave people more chances to see it. Ps East Coast suffered an all day storm yesterday so Sunday drops could be softer than normal too.
Yeah I thought it was awesome. It didn't punch me in the gut maybe the way it should have but yeah thought it was really well executed, tense as fuck, really fast moving 2 hours. I admire how straight forward and unapologetic it is about everything.
Aw seriously guys? Is this just another overhyped critical darling? Jeff Wells claims it to be Best Picture worthy. I'll check it out soon, regardless.
Oh, tempting. I'll never forget seeing The Roommate in a theater full of young, loud Dominican and Puerto Rican people. Funnest moviegoing experience of my life.
After failed attempts to see this Monday and last night, I'm finally seeing it tonight. We had to check 3 different theaters before we found a primetime showing that wasn't already sold out, 7 hours in advance. Tickets for the AMC IMAX literally sold out as my buddy was in the process of purchasing ours.
eta: I'm talking about Sniper, of course, not TBND or Mortdecai.
Well I turned this on last night wanting to hate it (too hokey, too forced quirky, too Wes Anderson) but I just couldn't - it's pure magic and so much fun. The cable car ascent / downhill ski chase reminded me of an episode of Rocky & Bullwinkle
Top 5 for the year, at least.

Well this was something. Creepily fantastic, nightmare of a movie. ScarJo is phenomenal, and I can't get that score out of my head.
Might be my favorite of 2014.
