I for one am thrilled at American Sniper box office. Sick of the critics and Oscah pundits trying to ordain certain movies over others.

I'm still so disappointed about that story of Cooper editing the movie for Eastwood. Like WtF? Cooper sounds like a nuisance on set. Glad he's gonna try directing instead.

B that would have been an A+ if not for the last act. I was having so much fun up until the earthquake, then it went all downhill. With that said, my bladder was about to burst already by that point, so I'll have to revisit this when it comes out on BD.

My biggest takeaway from the nominations is that Cheryl Boone Isaacs needs elocution lessons. Seriously how hard is it to say Linklater? Also, Emma Stone is now "Academy Award Nominated actress, Emma Stone" - how cool is that?

Isn't the Tydlum inclusion more "meh" than Eastwood? I can't say, I haven't seen either film. But it seems TIG is King's Speeching it.

American Sniper is going to American Slayage when it goes wide. Will finish over Unbroken for sure.

Well The Tourist is a lasting piece of art and a staple of the film industry for generations to come, I'm not sure what else HFPA was supposed to do in that situation.

Yeah at least it will always have Rotten Tomatoes, and the SAG... Err... And the BAFTA... Uh... The PGA? Oh wait no it's ok, it's got the Golden Globe nod. Phew.

Also disappointed for the drops for Unbroken, ITW, and Hobbit. What's that about? Tak3n effect?

Really just horrible for Selma. I LOL'd that BO.com predicted 20m+ OW but now it's looking like even 10 will be a struggle.

Flop for Selma, oh well. Always thought this was a bunch of hot air by the likes of Sasha Crone. Amazing for Taken 3 even though I think it looks like a giant unnecessary turd.

I just binge-watched all 20 episodes this week. This show is so great - it's a comedy and it's very funny but also depressing and at times it is painful to watch. Lisa Kudrow deserves an Emmy for her performance, she is that good. Sometimes you want to scream at her and tell her how vapid and selfish she is but most of the time you can't help but feel bad for her, and then root for her. It's not an easy role to pull off and she deserves credit for that. The 9 year hiatus between seasons was also interesting in how it played out, seeing the characters and real-life actors age and change during that time. Kellan Lutz and Malin Akerman were more or less completely unknown during the first season and in the second season their characters are huge superstars, while they haven't reached that level in real-life it is a cool parallel that both actually ended up "making it".
