Not gonna lie. I'm kinda bummed that MI7 didn't even matched Fallout's OW, but I'm not gonna lose hope yet. I'm still expecting good late legs from this in the month of August.

Its called Snow White, because she was described as white as the snow with black hair and crimson lips. "The fairest of them all". Its literally in the title. Making the evil queen prettier than Snow White already messes with the story because the Queen sent a Huntsman to kill Snow White out of jealousy of her beauty.
And Kids deserve high quality entertainment, not mediocre stuff.

First live actions Alice and Maleficent were already different takes- point of view of the animated movies (as Cinderella kinda Is too) so i don't know why at some point people started to ask for copy carbon movies.
Im not saying you should do carbon copies of the originals. I'm saying that you have to respect the iconography and the characters of the very movie you're adapting from while expanding the story in ways that thematically makes sense and enriches the world they live in. Cinderella and The Jungle Book are the only remakes that did this successfully.
All of the other remakes just padded runtime to fill unnecessary crap just to get to the 2 hour mark. Changing the iconography and how the characters look on top of the movies themselves being mediocre just adds fuel to the fire.

But you're not remaking the original fairy tale, you're remaking the Disney version that everyone is familiar with. If you're not gonna respect that as a filmmaker then what's the point of doing the damn thing in the first place?

I just saw DR Part 1... love the car chase in Venice, the Abu Dabi airport and especially the whole train sequence at the end. The writing could have been better though and probably needed to shave 15 to 20 minutes for a much tighter pacing. Overall I really liked it.
But oh my lord... I think I'm legit in love with Haley Atwell.
She stole the whole movie.

I hope How Do You Live gets an early 2024 release date in the west so that Suzume still gets a shot at being nominated for the Best Animated Feature category this year.
I know Spiderverse is probably gonna be the winner but a recognition for Makoto Shinkai would be very nice after they snubbed Your Name and Whethering With You.

I really hope Sony/Crunchyroll get this movie for global distribution outside Asia. They usually do a good job at making anime films more widely available than other distributors, especially in Latin America.

A lot of people still think MI7 is coming out on Friday instead of Wednesday. The change in release date was very recent and caused a bit of confusion. I remember something similar happened with the first Puss In Boots because DreamWorks changed the release date from November 3rd to Ocotber 27th at the last minute and that affected it's OW.
The real test for MI7 will be the weekend.

No. Snow White is supposed to be most beautiful character in the story, because the Queen was jealous of her beauty. That's why she sent a huntsman to kill her and deliver her heart. And when the Huntsman failed she turned into an old lady to kill her with a poisoned apple. She's jealous and want wants to kill her for being prettier than the Queen. That's the whole point.
