  2. Dude, I'm just stating the facts. If you like the movie that's fine, good for you. But I don't go around harassing people for saying something bad about a movie that I like but others don't like you.
  3. Friendly reminder that Disney+ is still losing money (and subscribers) to the company. And as other posters have said. TLM is doing Ok domestically. Its just that with so many movies flopping all around, it makes it the movie look like a BO juggernaut in comparison.
  4. That show was already in production during the making of the live action remake. They already invested money on it, so it was always gonna come out regardless of the box office results.
  5. Honestly... An animated Moana sequel would have been the more financially wise decision.
  6. In the 60s the big budget musicals/westerns/biblical movies where bombing harder with each new release, witch lead to an era of more bold and daring low budget movies that gave birth to the New Age Hollywood in the late 60s and early 70s. The comic book/IP Franchises/Disney movies are the equivalent of that in the 2020s. Movies like EEAAO from A24 proved that small budget movies can be successful in theaters and not just rely on streaming. We are slowly entering in a new era, we just don't know what kind of movies will dominate the box office just yet.
  7. Typically a movie needs to multiply 2.5 times worldwide it's production budget to break even. Meaning, TLM needs 625 million worldwide to break even.
  8. If Wish bombs too... it's game over, man. I don't know how Disney can recover from this. In the past at least they had Lasseter, but now... man, things are about to get ugly in Burbank.
  9. Guys, I'm so so sorry. I tried to post a meme with the Lego movie characters about the state of the box office and my post got really screwed over hard with an insanely long javascript text. I'm really embarrassed, and I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience I caused in this thread.
  10. Wait a minute... I thought Sleeping Beauty was shot in Super Technirama 70 (same with the Black Cauldron) and that Lady and the Tramp was the movie shot in the CinemaScope format.
