I'm glad that you like your job, but after a while all of this stuff will not be that exciting anymore. After being in the theatre bizz 10 years this month, when we get a new item I normally just sigh and think to myself "damit". Movie part is fun, but even that wears thin after a while.
Yep buzz kill, and over all its a fun job to have as a teen.
I feel you man.
Crazy day. And with it a hand full of not so pleasant patrons.
I love it when they buy tickets way in advance get here when the film starts and gets mad because all of the seats are on the front row. Then come and complain to me that they bought their tickets way in advance and should have better seats.
Great day attendance wise tho. Our busiest day since December 26 th 2009.
It's pretty much fair game where I am. Sometimes we will be told what we can not cancel, and when I do it I try to avoid canceling Disney films. They have made a fuss before.
Agreed, yesterday I made a few cancellations (Paul Blart, Monkey Kingdom, Furious 7, and Age of Adeline . One showtime for each) to add more Pitch Perfects and had to give out a number of passes because of it. Especially for Blart.
That's how you know everything is doing good. It all helps in the end.
I'm strictly talking attendance with all movies combined not just one film. If talking one film Furious 7 opening day takes the cake by far out of anything that has opened at my location ( ever) .
Yea it's all about the area.
Must have been raining or something at boners location. My site is also a Texas site so I doubt it's much of a difference .
