I feel the atmosphere enhances the movie going experience.
The spillover effect is at its peak during this time. People come to the theater to see a specific movie. If it is sold out they check out something else.
Watched JFK on Christmas in 1991. Movie watching on Christmas has become a tradition now for the past 25 years.
I love the theater atmosphere after lunch. They are packed with families.

BvS was an event. Its run was pathetic.
RO is an event and the early run seems to be pointing towards a phenomenal run too.
Discount Tuesdays are meant to accomplish a few things.
1. Get regular moviegoers to watch movies at greater frequency.
2. Get tightwad auds to give some movies a shot
3. Get infrequent/rare moviegoers to watch movies
The idea is to get the audiences into the habit of watching movies thereby increasing the audience pool.
Not required. The movie will do very well. The drops cannot be compared to TFA. The best way to figure out a range check out 2011 when Dec. 16 was a Friday.

Many Indians tend to use the term "Rubber" for eraser and "Fag" for a cigarette resulting in hilarious situations in English speaking countries like the US. I was somewhat privy to those terms when I moved to the US in the late 80s. But I have seen many an Indian being made fun of for using these terms.
