  1. Or when the relevance of his principles are put to the test like in the What's So Funny About Truth, Justice and the American Way?/Superman vs. The Elite storyline.
  2. That was based on the Superman: Supergirl story line. I think that could be one potential direction, though instead of Darkseid they could just have Granny Goodness and the Female Furies (and maybe other Darkseid lieutenants like Desaad and Kalibak) come to kidnap Supergirl to convert her into a Fury. Wasn't there a rumor that George Miller was interested in the sequel if Supergirl played a prominent part in it? That plot seems perfect for him.
  3. Superman vs. The Elite? For the Man Who Has Everything? A story exploring the relationship Lois & Clark in a way Singer couldn't? Something Supergirl or Superboy related where Kal-El has to mentor a teenager who shares the same similarities as him but is even more vulnerable? There are so many options still open lol.
  4. The Harley Quinn total domination already begins post-JL HARLEY QUINN R-Rated Animated Series In The Works; SUICIDE SQUAD's Margot Robbie May Reprise The Role http://deadline.com/2017/11/harley-quinn-dc-digital-service-orders-animated-action-comedy-series-justin-halpern-patrick-schumacker-1202212632/ https://www.comicbookmovie.com/suicide_squad/harley-quinn-r-rated-animated-series-in-the-works-suicide-squads-margot-robbie-may-reprise-the-role-a155570
  5. I agree that any movie related to Harley Quinn will remain unaffected. I also think the SKWAD franchise can do without her. Headline it with Smith, Davis, bring in Johnson and maybe a Latino actor or two like Eugenio Derbez, Diego Luna, Michelle Rodriguez or Rosario Dawson (she's already the voice of Wonder Woman in the direct to video cartoons) and craft it as the Fast & Furious equivalent of DC with superpowers instead of cars. Robbie could then focus on Gotham City Sirens or that Leto co-starrer if they insist on doing it (admittedly there's money in a Harley + Joker movie done right too so personal tastes aside, it is an understandable and inevitable decision). Having said that, I'll be surprised if she isn't in this movie.
  6. Fun fact: That bit was inspired by Watchmen (original graphic novel). Brad Bird got an incredibly juicy sequence out of it, while Zack Snyder... got a pretty shot.
  7. That someone was named Ellen and that somewhere was her popular tv show called The Ellen Show, on which she made her wishes loud and clear on a consistent basis for years. Hmm, don't know about that. I know I personally wanted TI2 more than FD but TI never really made Nemo numbers and merchandising/parks wise Nemo seemed bigger too. I think it would have been better if they had aged up the family in real time since the original movie (14 years) for that very reason. There would have been a more stronger resonance with the generation of fans to have Violet be in her late 20's, Dash going to college and JackJack being the adolescent stand-in. People are still going to watch it of course.
  8. Well, overperforming in one market is better than overperforming in no markets, so I'll take it
  9. BvS had also opened on a national holiday (Holi). Post-BvS, WB has messed up DCEU exposure/awareness raising in India to a degree I guess. Many DCEU YouTube videos have comments like "WB why didn't you release dubbed versions of Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman in India?" "I wanted to watch Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman in Hindi but couldn't" etc. The fact that SS and WW overperformed regardless makes it very impressive for them. Outside of the Mouse House, I think Sony is the studio which goes all out targeting India, which is partly the reason for Spidey being top dog for a decade.
  10. ?? Aren't SM3 and the TASM's the only solo superhero movies in India's Top 10 highest grossing Hollywood films?
  11. Were Enchantress, Ares, whodey? in Logan, Whatsherface/Ego in GOTG2 really the epitome of A-List? The villains (with some exceptions) are increasingly becoming window dressing for what have basically become hero/protagonist showcases. It's karma for the 90's when the Batman flicks were basically spotlights for villain of the week scenery chewing with the lead being just a POV into their world.
  12. A Dwayne Johnson blockbuster is a whole other level though. WB is going to move heaven and earth to make that release happen. It will help that SS2 won't be following BvS too.
  13. Suicide Squad wasn't banned in China because of witchcraft but because local distributors fucked up and interest in the DCEU was low after people fell asleep in theatres watching BvS. WB had to make the Wanda Group deal to give Wonder Woman a chance and now if JL is supposed to the crowd entertainer it is hoped to be, plus the more colorful and fun Aquaman and Shazam movies following, there would be plenty of goodwill for Squad 2 in the Middle Kingdom regardless of themes. The Rock being in it just cinches things. It's pretty transparent WHY he's being included in the film lol
  14. I dig it. But make it different seasons set in different time periods of Pennywise's reign of terror, showing the gradual increase of apathy towards the children in Derry.
  15. I think Seasons 3-4 were actually the nadir of the show's callous take on sexual violence (Craster's and the Cersei/Jaime funeral scene). After that, the show and its makers seemed to get more confident that sexpositions and graphic sexual violence weren't as necessary to hook audiences and started showing more restraint (Sansa's rape being the sole exception and even in that instance, I was actually a defender of the show's decisions). Are the "teleportations" that distracting? The timeline is so vague that we do not know the amount of time passing between when Character X has departed Destination Y and reached Destination Z. It seems more of a case of people being surprised that many travels have gone uneventfully compared to ones in previous seasons. Having said that, the pacing is indeed more rushed now. But... I can overlook it as I feel the show can now afford to lean back on its previously carefully laid groundwork for its characters and their stories.
  16. Ditto for Evans on Deathstroke, Joker origin solo, Whedon's entering the fray and taking on Batgirl, the Flash movie being titled Flashpoint, Snyder taking a break due to his family tragedy, Gavin O'Connor being signed on for Suicide Squad 2 etc. etc. Other than obvious developments (Jenkins being signed on for WW2), none of these "insider scoops" have broken anything new that wasn't sent to the trades by an official WB source first. Kroll didn't even know that Shazam was going into production nor that The Rock was not in it, and El Maybe of all people was the one to inform him. Flashpoint being dependent on JL's and the character's reception is something pretty much all of us heavily suspected anyway so it's pretty much "water is wet" kind of news.
  17. That's not necessarily a bad thing for a kid masquerading as a grown up.
