Going by this trailer alone, they already seem to have expanded Chani's role from the books. Lady Jessica OTOH. She's technically the main character along with Paul but these trailers make her seem like Veiled Background Lady. -
You'll LOVE Euphoria then. Every episode is narrated by her and each episode explores the backstory of a different character.

Jessica Drew is the original Spider-Woman from the comics, the character @Cochofles had as her BOT avatar for the longest time. Also rumored to be the star of Olivia Wilde's upcoming live action Spider-heroine film.

My favorite part was the mention that Coates was referring to the original Superman comics and that there is a possibility of the film being a 20th Century period piece. If it's set in the 1930's when Superman debuted then there could be shades of Lindelof's Watchmen. Can definitely see Ta-Nehisi tackle the politics of a black Superman in Jim Crow era/segregated America.

Maybe a cameo, post credits or twist villain but naming it The Marvels is fitting for a Carol/Monica/Kamala three-woman act So Papa Feige did manage to organically include an all-female team movie after all.

Well is it a retcon coz Doc Ock only said he was not going to DIE a villain, he didn't say anything about not being a villain if he continued to LIVE. 😛 On a more serious note, I think Ock will still have sympathetic motivations. Maybe if someone promised to use time travel or the multiverse machine thingy to bring his wife back to life maybe? Similar to The Kingpin's motivations in Into the Spider-Verse.
