  1. Depends on which Spiders they had chosen. Some like Peni Parker seem to work best in animation so choosing her was a great choice to contrast her anime style against the more Looney Tunes-y take on Spider-Ham and ole newspaper print on Spider-Man: Noir. But selecting some other Spider-People would have worked as well or even better in live action IMO.
  2. This is the first movie where I think knowing so many spoilers affected my enjoyment of it. But still an excellent ride. Miles is such a great character. Hopefully it makes enough to go ahead with the sequel and spin-off.
  3. As @Charlie Jatinder pointed out in the Weekend Thread, it seems to be breaking out in India at the least. Since India is usually one of the OS strongholds for Spidey, surprised the film didn't include the Indian Spider-Man, Pavitr Prabhakar. Maybe in the sequel.
  4. The laser lights and soundtrack remark are not the biggest takeaway from that. This is:
  5. I can't believe the only bad review spoiling the perfect score so far is because of "blurry animation".
  6. I think they are fine if the movies are taking place almost entirely on specific planets like Pandora in Avatar. It becomes more of a fantasy than a "space" movie in that case. IW was a mix between different locations. It's movies that are space battles and space operas which seem to have a harder time clicking with the Middle Kingdom.
  7. What if Into The Spider-Verse sneaks into the Top 10? Even if both AQM and MPR pass 700M, the No. 10 film only has to finish in the higher 600's. A longshot for Miles and Ralph/Grinch final totals are to be seen, but with these raves and award nominations (and wins) for Spider-Verse, who knows? But... you haven't even seen DC, X-Men and Spider-Man fully in their prime yet! + more fun characters like Shang Chi, Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel, an above average take on Doctor Doom and Fantastic Four etc. still to come.
  8. Don't judge an unfortunate graphics person who was abruptly ordered to rush out a poster by higher-ups.
  9. Superhero movies are more versatile than everything listed there. Also, those genres fell out of popularity because there was a sharp drop in quality across the board. Whereas the SH genre is just beginning to branch out atm Wait for DC to hit its stride, X-Men to take over the MCU and all the Spideys swinging in full force!
  10. That was much more direct competition than anything Coco had though. Sing really ate into Moana's legs in multiple territories, including Japan if I remember correctly.
  11. There is no precedent for this (Lego Batman is not really it), so please stop with the purely speculative walls of text.
