  1. https://www.thehindu.com/entertainment/movies/indian-actor-soundarya-sharma-bags-role-in-wonder-woman-1984/article24792865.ece Donna Troy/Wonder Girl? Or she's really hyping up some Amazon or sidekick character.
  2. Ritchie at his most messy and fun (King Arthur) >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Generic insipid tripe that was BatB remake
  3. Last year was great too save for JL (which they apparently saw coming), BR 2049 (which they just distributed) and that dump job Geostorm. 2016 wasn't too shabby either for them.
  4. I want. Also, just go ahead and cast Tom Holland as Prince Eric, Idris as Triton and Latifah as Ursula. Monies will come like thunderstorms at sea.
  5. Coincidentally, this happened last week (guy's the writer of some Burton films and upcoming Aladdin remake):
  6. After the amount of money the BatB live action made, it's just jarring to me that the remakes of the only two Renaissance films that were bigger than the original BatB are placed so close to each other. You'd think Disney would want to position those two as major "events" in two different years or at least space them further apart. Can't wait for Frozen 3 in November 2022, Tangled live action remake in May 2023 and Frozen live action remake in July 2023.
  7. IMO this should take TLK's current slot, TLK should take Episode 9's current slot, and Episode 9 takes the otherwise usual Marvel May start slot in 2020. GOTG3 is having too much drama to make that date and the next MCU film we've heard the most about (Black Widow) is not the May opener kind of movie. Even Winter Soldier's early April date seems better suited for BW, if it's made in time. I dunno if Ep. 9 can make Christmas 2019 either. I'm also super annoyed that currently this and TLK are less than 2 months apart, so July and December respectively are much more preferable.
  8. Great spotlight article from Deadline that perfectly puts into perspective why the success of this film is so ground-breaking:
  9. I'm sure it is Elsa herself. But it will probably be a distant shot of her standing next to Evan Rachel Wood's character in a crowd scene at the end. Maybe they will smile at each other.
  10. Yes, a new song for Aladdin and Jasmine! I'm a sucker for their "parallel lives" themed love story. A solo for Jasmine is also welcome. Really liked "To Be Free" from Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular
  11. Thor 2 received an Avengers and IM3 boost (yes, a lot of us enjoyed IM3, thank you very much), so it shouldn't be used as some bare financial minimum. Having said that, I thought this would easily fly past 600 and at least 630 was a definite lock, so... People promoting it as a "palate cleanser" and "small reprieve" from IW weren't really doing it any favors. Both AMs were positioned to be smaller epilogues or segues in the ongoing MCU saga, with a neon sign saying SKIPPABLE pointing towards them. I also think this franchise couldn't live up to its best potential once it forewent Janet van Dyne as the main Wasp. Still though, high 500's/low 600's is nothing to scoff at, especially for the "runt" of the pack.
  12. Homecoming is the slightly less charming brother of Spectacular. But both of their Spideys are equally endearing.
  13. Maybe it will be affected DOM (though I've seen a lot of people saying why TS4 is needed in the first place so I don't see the anticipation on I2 levels) but OS Aladdin will be no Solo.
  14. People are seriously underestimating Aladdin's potential OS.
  15. It's not like Hollywood directors who attend pedophile themed parties dressed like priests are actual pedo- OH FUCKING WAIT
  16. Not many tweens think that way. If you've suddenly discovered Wes Craven at 12, then you wouldn't be caught dead enjoying Disney animated films any more etc. Though from my personal observation, this new Gen Z is probably wiser than Millennials were at that age in this regard, and don't give much of a damn about people's opinions of them.
  17. They may appear only in the book-ends of the movie if they don't leave the arcade.
