    Is Shazam all that special in the first place though? I mean, he's kinda a Superman rip-off on his own. At least the entire bunch of kids transforming into adult superheroes makes the concept more unique. And after It and Stranger Things, kid gangs are in. They even have a kid from It in this. Also helps that this bunch is way more diverse than the other two sets.

    Gitesh's numbers are off by about 4M! It has currently made near 1.324M WW. From Box Office Report: So just approx 8.7M to go to beat TLJ. If it receives a bump next weekend, then it could do it right there. First few days of May at the latest. DH2 is dependent wholly on how IW affects it (and whether Disney wants a last minute expansion, which unfortunately seems unlikely with the looming HV release).

    I'm cool with this news. The more prominence given to the kids and their characters (including the grown up versions), the better. Also, both DJ Cotrona and Adam Brody were in George Miller's Justice League Mortal as Superman and Flash respectively.

    The original Super Troopers was apparently mandatory viewing among college groups in the early 00's, so the nostalgic pull among that particular age demo was very strong. And the RT for the first is about the same for this new one, so that didn't affect any.

    They have to convince themselves they are making a difference after Black Panther completely neutered them. These smaller films are seen as "softer" targets but even stuff like plucky little Blockers seems unaffected.

    Just how many DC movies are expected to come out in 2020? SS2 is supposed to go into production this fall, Batman solo and Flash next spring, Birds of Prey is "prioritized" and Black Adam is looking at a 2019 production date too. And then there's that Joker origin film that keeps rearing its head.

    The new fad is paying churches to recommend them to their congregations. A sermon is chosen that reflects the message of the promoted film to make it easier to shill.

    Yeah, Blockers is being downvoted by a certain tragic little group again. Not surprising for a film which has an actual character wearing a fedora and named Chad being the subject of jokes.
