  1. Was there a pilot with the call sign "Boomer" at a critical point in the movie? Just wondering whether they've done cuts for different countries.
  2. The second season premiere was the highest rating show on Australian PayTV last night.http://www.tvtonight.com.au/2012/04/tuesday-10-april-2012.html
  3. It's really annoying that showcase here in Australia is waiting 9 days after the US broadcast to show season 2 yet are still advertising it as being "fast-tracked". Programmers in Australia have the collective intelligence of Joffrey.
  4. Good episode. It's a good sign they've spent some money on CGI for the direwolves.
  5. Yeah, 21 Jump Street was a real surprise. Good to see it will hit $100m.
  6. Would you believe?Several horses died during the making of this season so they're not making any more episodes.
  7. It probably helped that the two most known actors from season 1 were killed off. I hear HBO is delaying the series for a week.
  8. Just realised this opens first in Australia just like Thor last year. April 25 is ANZAC Day so it's a public holiday nationwide.
  9. Yeah, I read somewhere as well that season 3 and 4 might be shot together.Anyway, starts Tuesday April 10 @ 8:30 on Showcase here in Australia however I'm not sure if I can wait over a week.http://showtime.com.au/showcase/show/13201/season2I thought season 1 was great although as others have mentioned it was slightly disappointing they weren't able to include any battles and the Dothraki weren't quiet up to scale. On the book front I am now half way through A Storm of Swords:Part 1.
  10. I used to watch it fairly often but it's one of those shows I've just lost track of and haven't seen for awhile.
  11. I'm not saying it hasn't performed well here. I'm just surprised how far off the charts the US is compared to Australia. Then how much better it has performed in Australia compared to other countries. It's bigger then in the UK plus it's also bigger then France and Germany combined. You do have to wonder how it would have performed OS if the release had been staggered a week or two.
  12. Excluding the US/Canada THG performed far better in Australia then anywhere else and it still didn't make the all-time top 25 opening weekend.
  13. From Deadline:Lionsgate also finally reported its weekend international numbers which were a very strong $59.25M and tracking ahead of the first Twilight Saga film. The pic opened worldwide day-and-date in 67 markets this weekend on an estimated 7,700 prints everywhere except for Spain, Italy, Japan, and South Korea. The first international numbers coming in from Australia scored a huge $1.8 million (USD) on 471 screens, which was bigger than the debuts down under for Iron Man ($1.0M) and Quantum Of Solace ($1.0M). Then that Australia number went up a big +20% the next day — which is unusual. It ended up just under $10M. The UK grossed a big $7.5M, Russia was a breakout $6.5M, and New Zealand a strong $1.27M. Scandinavia markets combined for $3.7M, Germany $3.9M, France $3.75M, and early estimates include Mexico $3.59M and Brazil $2.6M. Asian markets also posted very solid numbers: Philippines $1.71M, Singapore $1.38M, Taiwan $1.36M, Hong Kong $709K, Malaysia $655K, Thailand $649K. In the UAE $656K and the Gulf region with almost $1M combined.
