THURSDAY 8:30 PM, 3RD UPDATE: My sources say Fox’s A Good Day To Die Hard around $10M-$11M and Relativity’s Safe Haven around $9M-$10M are still battling it out for Valentine’s Day supremacy. Universal’s holdover Identity Thief will be #3 with around $6M. Summit Entertainment/Lionsgate’s two week old Warm Bodies #4 with around $3M. And to complete the Top Five, Warner Bros’ Beautiful Creatures looks to open with a very disappointing $3M-$4M. -

Reacher has less than half the budget and marketing than K&D....so it is doing just fineLOL @ the people in this thread acting like Jack Reacher had anything but a mediocre opening. Knight and Day called, it wants its box office run back.

I'll believe it when it happens, I think it could happen after next Star Wars. They will try to tie it in somehow. Hard to believe they move forward on a franchise they merely broke even on. Not sure why Disney overspends so much....hopefully they stop spending 200m+ on unproven franchises
