  3. With a difference of 200M and only getting bigger the coming weeks till The Hobbit releases, is it safe to say Sony will win this year?Who saw that coming at the beginning of the year?
  4. Skyfall is now the biggest movie of the year in The Netherlands surpassing The Intouchables after just 3 weeks
  5. Solid opening here as I was expecting. With the Euro final today it was always going to have a weak sunday, I expect the same in the other european countries where it has opened.Taking that into account the OW here isn't all that bad.
  6. Don't have any numbers but been keeping a track on the biggest cinema chain here.It seems do be doing ok, don't expect any records but most of the Imax showings have been 75%+ full with the prime time showings (7-10pm) above 90%.The non Imax showing have done a bit less but it should have a solid OW here. The question is with IA4 opening how it will do the coming days/weeks.School is out in some parts so it should help with the weekdays.
  7. I expect it to pickup tomorrow and Saturday.Yesterday and today are the Semi-Finals of the Euro so allot of people watched that.Sunday is the final so expect a bigger drop then normal.
  8. Yeah I agree with the hot weather.Went to the movies yesterday to see The Dictator and it was like a ghost town in the theater not just The Dictator but everywhere. It is the first nice days in quite awhile and I expect in other parts of Europe too so can't blame the people that they want to be outside and it has been really bad with the weather uptill now.
  9. The AvengersImax 3D Sold out ~600 seaterTrailers:Prometheus: Not allot of reactions. I think the trailer is a bit confusing and doesnt show allot.3D Trailers:MIB3: Almost no reaction, I think it looks bad. And my 2 friends I was with agreed.TDKR: Lots of buzz and looks greatTASM: Same as TDKR, lots of reactions and heard a couple of people say that it looks great/ they want to see it.The movie:Best movie of 2012 for me so far. I thought it was great.Everycharacter was able to shine and had their time on the screen.Iron man as expected was great but I also was positive suprised by the Hulk, together with IM stole the show for me.Great movie and will recommend it.
  10. Saw it yesterday at 6 pm it was sold out, there was a huge line to get into the IMAX screen never saw that before. The 9pm show was also sold out.Great OD and expect a great OW.
  11. Very Nice for 21JS.Curious to see how it holds this weekend
  12. Saw it yesterday6PM showing about a 600 seater 20-30% full.It has almost no buzz here in the Netherlands.
  13. John Carter6 PM Thursday3D Imax 600 seater, 20-30% fullTrailers:We arrived on the final trailer Wrath of the Titans and didnt see the whole trailer not much reaction.Movie:Mixed feelings about this one. From the trailer I was expecting a different kind of movie, more and bigger fights. That wasn't the case but the movie wasn't bad and I kind of enjoyed the story.3D didn't add muchRating:7/10
  14. Whats the total OS prediction for this?60-70M total OS?
  15. WowGreat weekend all around. The Vow will win the weekend but great numbers for SH.
  16. Opening here in 2 weeks time. Haven't seen allot of advertising yet but that could change the coming week.Looking forward to this one
  17. How much is everyone expecting this to make in total OS.With only Italy and Japan to go as big markets, I expect around another 30-40M in the next coming weeks so a total of around 130M OS total
  18. That's a pretty stong opening for U:A looking at the other numbers (SH2)
  19. Wow impressiveI wonder if it can get 75M+Could we see a total OS of 450M for MI:4?
  20. Yeah 400M should be a lock though they are losing allot of IMAX screens now to other movies. That could lead to bigger drops in the coming weeks.
  21. This one seems to have good word of mouth/ratings. (Haven't seen it yet will do this week or the next one)With the "fanbase" made with the first one a sequel could have a bigger opening. We will see though what Sony will decide but it wouldn't suprise me if they follow through with the sequel.
  22. Yeah afaik a sequel was already announced by Sony. This one should about break even or make a small profit. I expect around 220-240M WW on a budget of 90M
  23. Same here with Millenium (TGWTDT), it was packed last night with allot of sell outs at night (from 6pm onwards) at different cinemas.I expect good numers this weekend for TGWTDTEdit:Just checked and an early morning (10AM on a Sunday!) is sold out at the biggest cinema in Amsterdam. (Can't see which room it is playing, as I can't select seats as its giving me the sold out warning, and if it is a big screen but I doubt it's a big screen but still a sell out this early).Have to say this is an exception as looking at early screenings from other cities (11AM) they are (still) pretty empty.Note: Before wondering why people go to the movies this early on a Sunday morning, the tickets are cheaper. Normal is € 9.50 and for the sunday morning screenings it's € 5,50
  24. It opened here (the Netherlands) yesterday.Looking at the online seating for various cities it is doing pretty good with sell outs at the major cities/cinemas.It should be nr1 this week with ease
