The Stingray
Another movie with a pretty good score was Maniac.
4815162342
DOS should get in. Shore branches out a bit from the usual Middle Earth style in it.

ddddeeee
I'd so much prefer that Zimmer gets nominated for Rush instead of 12 Years a Slave.

4815162342
Got back from 12 Years a Slave and if this movie gets nominated for score it would be the ultimate reward for lazy self-plagiarizing. The main recurring motif is just a melancholy version of Time from Inception.

Jack Nevada
It's gonna be either Zimmer (for 12 Years btw) or Steve Price.
stripe
Maybe the latest scores by Zimmer aren't his best, but they're at least very effective in the context of every movie. I'll give him credit for the great earlier works. I wouldn't nom him this year though. From what I've heard, my favourite scores are Gravity, DOS, Mr Banks and The book thief. But none of these are masterpieces. Besides them, there are a lot of scores with good tracks but not great as a global creations, IMHO. stripe
It's gonna be either Zimmer (for 12 Years btw) or Steve Price. I' would say that Price is the clear frontrunner now. The only thing that can go against him is voters thinking it's time to reward Thomas Newman.
