1. Connery- Pre YOLT*2. Craig3. Dalton4. Connery- Post YOLT*5. Brosnan6. Moore7. Lazenby*Connery in Dr. No, From Russia with Love, Goldfinger and to a lesser extent, Thunderball >>>> Connery on YOLT, DAF and NSNA---The advent of the gadget focused Bond caused Connery to become disinterested in the role and it shows after the gadget filled Thunderball. Basically, there is no way you can say Connery is better in DAF than Craig was in QOS. It's not even close and QOS has its issues.I'll even go as far as to separate each actor's portrayal of Bond in each film:1. Craig in Casino Royale2. Connery in Dr. NoGap3. Connery in From Russia with Love4. Connery in GoldfingerGap5. Craig in Quantum of Solace6. Dalton in The Living Daylights7. Dalton in Licence to KillGap8. Brosnan in Goldeneye9. Connery in Thunderball10. Moore in Live and Let DieHM: Lazenby in OHMSS. What really knocks him down is the entire sequence at the retreat where his voice is dubbed. That sequence nearly ruins the film for me.Obviously, I like a more serious book based Bond.

Apparently Dalton is the one that captured Bond the best.

Dalton was just ahead of his time. He was a serious Bond in films that were following the more silly Moore series(that got sillier and sillier). The public was just not ready for a serious Bond, and honestly, neither was EON. They really didn't know what to do with him after getting so used to the campiness Moore brought.Think of how much different the series would have been had they went with a youthful Dalton after Connery(He was wanted before Moore http://en.wikipedia....#Initial_offers ) and he had done every film from that until LTK. How would the series be looked at? It would have become Dalton's series since he would have been in 9-11 films! Maybe even more since he still could have played Bond for a few years more had LTK been more successful. Would the series have even survived the 70s without the camp? Or would Dalton have just succumbed to the campiness? Or would he have been like Lazenby and be one and done? I'm still fascinated to this day by the possibilites. Edited by Accursed Arachnid!™

1. Connery - no contest here, #1

2. Dalton - underrated

3. Brosnan - good Bond, unlucky that all of his films suck

4. Moore - decent Bond, silly films

5. Craig - has charisma, but no charm, needs to improve a lot

6. Lazenby - complete opposite to Brosnan, awful, but starred in the arguably best Bond film ever

If Connery wasn't the first bond actor, less people would vote for him. Pierce Brosnan had the best charisma an looks for the character whilst Daniel Craig is just a badass.

I don't think so, Connery was just an awesome bond in General.

The best Moore ones are The Spy Who Loved Me and For Your Eyes Only. I personally enjoy Moonraker as well, though it is quite silly. The Man With the Golden Gun and A View to a Kill are crap, Octopussy is forgettable, and Live and Let Die the song is better than Live and Let Die the movie.

I grew up with the Roger Moore movies so he was what I was used to as being Bond. Then I saw some of the older movies and Connery easily became my favorite Bond actor
