Blankments
Ahhh, wait... it's closing Monday? Shoot, then just remove all my films from the schedule except Army of Two; I was planning on writing all mine on Thanksgiving.
4815162342
I had assumed that people would rather not do CAYOM work over the Thanksgiving holiday. If I am wrong, then we could incorporate the holiday into Part 1.
Alpha
I need Thanksgiving holiday to write my movies. Its the end of the trimester and I need to do lots of work, so I need that time span to write my movies.
Blankments
Yeah, I really don't have time the rest of this week thanks to a tournament. I can't guarantee it, but I have about four hours to myself on Thanksgiving itself, and I was hoping to write something then...

4815162342
Since 3 people already want the holiday, Part 1 will now end the night of Sunday December 1st. No extensions beyond.

4815162342
When will part 2 open? Christmas/New Years? Part 2 is predictions and reviews. They would kick off as soon as Part 1 is done. Then Year 8 Actuals person does the actuals for the first three months of the year. My hope is to start Part 1 of Spring Season (April/May) by Christmas and have that bleed through New Year's into early January.

Alpha
Why is Tom freaking Hooper directing Hairspray? Just because he did Les Miserables doesn't mean that he's a music fanatic. And Hooper's style doesn't even fit Hairspray.

Alpha
I'd say Jon Turteltaub or Peter Segal. Preferably the first one.
Films
Tbh, im going to stick with Tom hooper though this is not just based on him doing les Mis. All his films have been great and I can imagine him doing something like this

All his films have been great and I can imagine him doing something like this I'm sorry, but I can't. This is god damn Hairspray were talking about. Even if Tom Hooper is a great director because he has done WWII biopics and adaptations of famous literary dramas, he would never take the jump from those to fun, lighthearted musicals. Ezen Baklattan
Might I recommend James Bobin? He's good with fun musicals, and he had a decent cult hit last year in The Terrible Plight of Freddy Zapper.
4815162342
Tom Hooper is not a good fit at all for Hairspray. I also don't like Hairspray so whoever the director/cast/etc is will have little effect on my opinion of the film. When you don't like the source material, adaptation's necessarily get the stinkeye.
