With news of the shooting becoming a big deal, I won't be surprised if this does sub-$20M this weekend. It's actually beginning to remind me of another star-studded comedy bomb from late July: 2012's The Watch. The three strikes surrounding its release are identical: bad reviews, bad advertising, bad environment that it's opening in.

Live about 25 minutes south of Washington DC.  It was at the AMC Potomac Mills, which occasionally shows up in the weekly top 20 grossing theaters list, so there's usually a good amount of traffic. 

 

It was the last 2D showing of the night, about a dozen other people showed up right before the previews.
