Deep Wang
I dunno....seems like that got a lot of free pub for KA2. I love the first KA...one of my favorite comic book movies ever (I like it more than Avengers). But I have to admit I'm tempering my enthusiasm for KA2. Will Hit Girl be as cool as a 16 year old? No Big Daddy....no Mark Strong. A lot of stuff I loved in the first one won't/can't be there. Matthew Vaughn not returning is worse. A great director can make up for a few actors not returning. Sam
No one cares about Monday numbers? Good for MU, 50% drop, best in Top 5. It's so weird that MU is doing pretty well on weekdays but not on weekends.

Leyla
Matthew Vaughn not returning is worse. A great director can make up for a few actors not returning. yeah mte thats my biggest fear No one cares about Monday numbers? I molstly care abt films out of top10 BTW, if it hasn't been mentioned elsewhere already, Disney is no longer reporting daily grosses for Iron Man 3. so it won't catch THG is seems Edited July 16, 2013 by Leyla

Dark Prince
Great drop for MU. Hopefully Turbo will have a very small effect on it this weekend. It would be nice if it can get to 250m by the end of Sunday.
hasanahmad
So PR fell the most of All movies sunday to monday. WELP!!
Deep Wang
So PR fell the most of All movies sunday to monday. WELP!! It also had the lightest drop Sat-Sun. This is probably the movie balancing itself out to normal.
Sims
Another terrible number for PR. Will be very surprised if it drops less than 50% this weekend
Dementeleus
Again, I'm not really sure what people were thinking -- PR's number seems about as expected.
junkshop36
Ok drop for PR. Pretty good for everything else, especially MU.
wileECoyote
Expected drops but at least MU is doing better than the rest. Just wish PR held up better but what can you do?
AdamKendall
I'm off to see Pacific Rim again ... discount Tuesday tickets & concessions ... Monday #s ... it is what it is ... lots of similar drops. MOS seems destined for 294 or 295, a fate similar to Inception & a few HP movies seems likely. Oh well, a sequel will be made and that was my main goal from the beginning. Edited July 16, 2013 by Adam
kayumanggi
No one cares about Monday numbers? :lol:Good for MU, 50% drop, best in Top 5. kitik
Great drop for MU. Hopefully Turbo will have a very small effect on it this weekend. It would be nice if it can get to 250m by the end of Sunday. Turbo will take a lot of screens from MU.
kitik
so it won't catch THG is seems I think it will. It could still have a dollar theater run. (It doesn't come out on dvd until September 24.) Figuring out when dollar theater runs happen is kind of weird. For example, Great Gatsby is just opening in dollar theaters this coming Friday, July 19. But movies like Hangover, Epic, F&F6, Internship, Purge, and After Earth have already hit the dollar theaters. Movies like IM3 and STID are still potentially waiting for their runs to start. kayumanggi
Turbo will take a lot of screens from MU. Why MU and not the other movies? MU is holding well.
kitik
Why MU and not the other movies? MU is holding well. Well it won't just be MU. With 4 wide releases this weekend, WHD, TITE, LR, MOS, and MU should all be losing lots of screens. I just checked my local theaters, and it looks like MU won't lose quite as much as the other 4 movies I listed. Though it looks like it will lose some 3D showings. So it might not have a horrible drop, but it'll still be hurt to an extent.
Harpospoke
Matthew Vaughn not returning is worse. A great director can make up for a few actors not returning. Good point. His style really worked for the first movie. Interestingly, I strongly disliked his XmenFC...wish he would have stuck with Kick Ass.
MovieMan89
That's a bad number for PR. Will definitely drop over 50% this weekend with that Monday, short of huge Fri/Sat jumps.
