Creed | Rocky Spinoff | November 25, 2015 | Box Office Knockout | Stalloscarnominated!!

This sounds utterly ridiculous and stupid but seeing as how I actually like 4 out of the 6 rocky movies I will watch this as well.

If Rocky is in the movie, then the audience will want to see him fight, no matter how old he may be.

I could care less about Michael Jordan. If Stallone is playing Rocky, that will be the selling point, and it will not be satisfying emotionally to just see him in the corner.  I understand it dramatically and storyline-wise, though.

I imagine there will be a training scene where under the pretense of "sparring" Rocky gets in the ring with MBJ and straightens him out a bit with some hard-hitting words of advice in-between the punches.

Jordan talks a bit about his role here http://www.nydailynews.com/michael-b-jordan-talks-fantastic-dressing-human-torch-article-1.1960736?utm_content=buffercc45d&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=NYDailyNewsTw

Really looking forward to this. Its a great way to carry on the franchise without getting balboa into the ring again. Stallone can still bring an emotional punch (yes I went there) to the movie because we know what hes been through as a fighter. Some of the best parts of the last movie were his dramatic scenes with the son imo. Hopefully jordan and stallone build up some good chemistry as a father son type relationship.

I think "Creed" would work better as a Prequel and show how Creed became a champion but this could work if Sly trains Creed grandson or son.  That way they can include flashbacks.

Late update http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/boxers-andre-ward-tony-bellew-748018?mobile_redirect=false

'Champion boxer Andre Ward and British champion boxer Tony Bellew are in negotiations to lace up their gloves for Creed, MGM’s Rocky spinoff that focuses on the grandson of Apollo Creed.

Bellew will be the main opponent for Creed, a fighter called “Pretty Ricky Porter.”

The movie is looking at a January start and is due to shoot in Las Vegas and Philadelphia.'

There's a confirmation of Bellew's role from a British news site but those aren't always reliable. Here it is anyway http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/boxer-tony-bellew-lands-role-8160273

“I’ve got business in Hollywood in December.”

Bellew was quizzed about the rumours in midweek but rubbished them and said: “It wasn’t important in the week.

“All I know is that I’m close to agreeing to it and I’ve been sought after for quite some time.”

Tessa Thompson (Selma) has been cast in the movie. http://variety.com/2014/film/news/tessa-thompson-creed-casting-sylvester-stallone-1201380790/

Also, they filmed some crowd scenes at a football stadium in the hometown of the boxer/actor Tony Bellew, who is playing the villain http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/30891678

Let's hope MBJ does better than Fruitvale Station and keeps the word "bruh" to a minimum.

That was more for the specific character, he didnt use "bruh" in That Awkward Moment, I dont think he will in Fantastic 4 either.
