Why do the preview numbers for this movie have to start at 4:00? Is this going to be the new norm for WB movies? Why do they need to inflate the OW numbers like that?

Don’t want to get political but the tariffs will definitely make the watch in China interested.

The Tariff war with China is one reason why the US Film Industry HATES the Orange One so badly....

We don’t know how DP will do over the course of the weekend. Kid’s movies usually don’t have especially high Thursday preview numbers, since Thursday is a school night.

True, but Warners was expecting DP to appeal to a lot of adults also. You don't spend 150 Million on a movie aimed just at kids.

Dafuq is it with their obsession over Rocketman?

Rocketman's Fandango early showings might be getting good sales.

Seems like it's getting more and more difficult for WB films to truly break out at the moment.

I'd say it might be more of a Avengers thing.  It seems to be swallowing hype from everything.  It killed Shazam before it even opened with its presales and then when it released ... still going strong in the lead up to DP.  We'll see what happens with Godzilla.  Regardless WB just did 1.1 billion a few months ago and It 2 and Joker should be huge hits. They've at least avoided a bunch of big budget bombs.

BOP uses their own system.

The only real WB film to flat out flop atm is LEGO Movie 2. We'll see how DP goes. Shazam and La Llorona were both minor successes.

Doesn’t Warner Bros have a new marketing head department? I think I read that somewhere...

Yeah, but she also gave them their an amazing year in 2018, making them the only studio without any flops that year. It's like.. the opposite this year. I will say, Shazam!'s marketing was shockingly minimal.

It's from the budget being so low, they were def trying to keep Shazam's costs down.

If you check the tracking thread me and another member are doing it. We can only really see tickets bought through Fandango, they just passed 1,000 tonight and it's done through checking this site-

Thanks! And jesus, did you actually count all that (as in the 1,000 number)?
