Yeah, i think they issue of Hollywood production houses & Indian exhibitors hasn't been sorted.

Wb is hurting themselves...then again Godzilla 14 and kong didn't do all that well so exhibitors are playing hard ball.

Saw 57% and now I can only find 58% (not main page which is still at 56%) so in any case it has gotten at least one more fresh review. I'll be going to bed now, behave people, and do take 500 screenshots of the moment it hits 60% and I shall be ready to celebrate with champagne in the morning even if it goes down to mathematically impossible lows.

Two more fresh without any more rottens and Lucas gets his wish.

(59.5% will round up to 60 on the RT page )

Back to 56%, I realize the gif I sent ended up being very accurate.

It's not just with WB though, almost all major studios are facing this.

And actually Godzilla in 2014 did 35 crs nett which is well for that time.

It might be a slow process honestly, idk if you remember Alita's climb to 60% but it took...a while.

I do remember, although I wasn't following it as closely. I remember being surprised it managed to do it.

Now 54%.

It's definitely going to bounce around the 50s for a bit, we'll see which way the tide turns.

I'm honestly surprised it has such a low standing among the critics, I found it very enjoyable for what it is. I feel that they gave people what they wanted.

Granted I don't think it holds a candle to Shin Godzilla, but certainly not 'rotten'.

James, I feel you enjoy most popcorn movies nowadays. 2012, transformers, terminator genisys...list goes on.

You say it has no 3D like it is a bad thing.

Spectacle cgi movies should be in 3d else.

Maybe for like the 2009-2012 time period. This movie deserves to be watched on IMAX.

Posted (edited)

Reminded folks of Delvin/Emmerich means I'm there. Hoping it's more 2012, Day After Tomorrow, ID4, Stargate than ID4 2, 10K BC, Godzilla '98 or Geostorm.

3D is dying, T'challa. My local IMAX has pretty much done away with it all together. 3D TVs have also gone the way of the dinosaur.
