This getting an R rating would honestly make it a more interesting project.

It would be very bad for Legendary and the franchise. Godzilla appeals to people of all ages, and cutting off kids would be a poor decision.

Its ok I know 90% of people will think that. but theres the people on this forum here who know me in person who know its true. So it doesn't matter haha

If I saw a random person say shit on a forum, I wouldn't believe it ether.  And I wouldn't want anybody to randomly trust people they dont know on the internet.

I mean good for you that you've got a circle jerk of people I guess?

It's hilarious how you claim this movie was shelved and then a few hours later viral marketing kicks in. Come on man at least TRY to make your story more believable

And even if the human story was weak....who gives a rats ass? People are here to see the monsters. That's what makes the money

Like I said though a lot of people on this site want this movie to fail much like they did Jurassic World only because it's non-Disney...can't you at least admit that?

IIRC, a lot of people were pulling for Jurassic World and its sequel to break records.

And I've never heard someone explicitly say "I want this movie to suck and die at the box office." That kind of talk doesn't happen here. I never saw it for the Transformers movies or even the Emoji Movie.

This film really needs to be PG-13. Are there any PG-13 films out there that have had a Red Band trailer?

Audience 25 and more the first weekend according to cinemascore

Godzilla 2014: 60%

Kong skull island in 2017: 65%

Considering first weekend tend to be younger than the rest of a movie run and that the 18-24 are 12% of the annual ticket sales and probably quite more than that for that type of movie (they are around 20% of a fast and furious movie for example that play 55% above 25), I could imagine a less than 20% share of the audience being 16 or less, a much smaller one being unaccompanied 16 year's old or less .

I mean, if you really want to get under Jay's skin, just say The Lost World sucks. It'd do more damage than what you're doing now.

But what about the after-credits cameo, featuring the Friend to All Children calling Godzilla to talk about the Monster Island Initiative?

Very well, you get Revenge of Irys Gamera, who was not particularly friendly to anyone (actually a much edgier film than 2014 Godzilla, comes close to Shin Godzilla).

Statistics don't matter to me. I was at G-Fest this past weekend, and a lot of kids were there, and they were excited about the picture of Godzilla breathing into the sky with his atomic breath.

I want them to be able to see it. That will be difficult to accomplish with an R rating. It needs to be rated PG-13, period.

By "pushed it back" or "shelved" Im sure Jay didnt mean a cancellation or a release date change but rather they just took a break from all active post-production and editing on it as of the moment. Theyre taking their hands off it in the editing room and letting the marketing team do their thing instead rn.

I think its gonna help a lot if you take a breather and go back to Jays posts.

From the start, its clear from the use of context that Jay doesnt meant "iced" or "shelved" to mean cancelled/delayed.

no way is this R. It's either a fake image or because they play a song in the trailer that has profanity in it lol

In the final month before release WB was shamelessly still promoting Justice League using scenes that were long in the cutting room floor. The fact that the marketing for Godzilla 2 is already starting doesn't mean what Jay Hollywood said is false.

uh, is it just me or is millie’s acting........bad in that teaser? 🤔

It's Godawful, lol.  And why feature her on that poster?  Nothing like highlighting some bratty girl as the main attraction in a Godzilla film.
