The problem is domestically is where this movie would make the most money. Rogens movies rarely translate well to other countries. This is the end only made about a quarter of its domestic take abroad. I really hope it gets released and people turn out for it.

A spokesperson for Landmark’s Sunshine Cinema has confirmed that Thursday’s premiere of Sony’s Seth Rogen-James Franco comedy “The Interview” has been canceled in the wake of the ominous message sent by Sony hackers on Tuesday morning. The message threatened a 9/11-style attack on theaters showing the film.

 

This seriously risks setting an awful precedent. I thought America does not negotiate with terrorists.

Looks like Cinemark may have pulled it. They have times on their site but you cannot purchase it unlike other films

Ugh. Theaters canceling this really pisses me off. For once I am glad I live in a small town as there is a better chance my theater won't cancel it.

They should have moved up the release date when all this started. The time in between just created more room for anxiety and endless newspaper columns. Just get the movie out there and it may have calmed down.
