Totem
Just have to say that Friday wouldn't be terrible for BD1, I've heard from a few friends that it is a great film.TM, Hugo both good, AC dissapointing.
Heretic
Much better for BD1...Good opening for The Muppets, it should have great legs over Christmas.
A Marvel Fanboy
Great for The Descendants.
acab
Hugo and The Descendants are doing great. The Muppets is doing good also. Arthur Christmas is a bit disappointing but there are lots of family films out there at the moment, one of them would have to suffer. Decent for Breaking Dawn. baumer
Is that Friday right forJack and Jill? If it does 10 mill this weekend that's a puny drop. Good bump for BD1. It'll prob be closer to 16.5 as Nikki tends to be off by 5% at times. But with a 100-110% jump that gives it much more than NMs 90+% jump. Muppets will hold well during the next five weeks. So the opening is fine. j
Rovex
-76% IS pretty terrible, although for Twilight, its expected. Says a lot about the franchise. Still not going to get 300M
fishstick
BD1 is weekend movie after all. Phew. I was really worried after Wednesday. Anyway, any chance Nikki is underestimating?
Totem
Not underestimating enough for a sub 60% drop
Cochofles
-76% IS pretty terrible, although for Twilight, its expected. Says a lot about the franchise. Still not going to get 300MSame thing I heard all throughout Eclipse. In fact, every week, people were more and more convinced that 300 m was a pipe dream. It wasn't. baumer
It'll be interesting to see how much BD1 falls today. NM fell 6.7% on the same day, so maybe this will manage a softer drop. If it were to follow NM, it would make 41.5 mill. That would be a 70% drop, or if you take out midnights, 63% drop. So it's heading on the same trajectory. Totem
Same thing I heard all throughout Eclipse. In fact, every week, people were more and more convinced that 300 m was a pipe dream. It wasn't.But this isn't Eclipse, it isn't managing to keep up with NM, 280m is the goal, 300m is dead.
becca85
But this isn't Eclipse, it isn't managing to keep up with NM, 280m is the goal, 300m is dead. You're right it isn't Eclipse, it's much better than Eclipse, and it will be a shame if it doesn't make more money than the clusterfuck that was New Moon. I only watched that once and still won't buy the DVD.
MasterDodsen
300 can still happen. It won't be by much, but its possible. What is there from now to Christmas?
Heretic
300m is dead. Next week it'll plummet a further 65% or so and then another 45-50% the week after by which time the gross will be around 255-260m.It'll end in the low 280s imo. fishstick
Same thing I heard all throughout Eclipse. In fact, every week, people were more and more convinced that 300 m was a pipe dream. It wasn't.Hear, hear.I`ve read at The Jaw Central (that`s how I call AwardsDaily for their ridiculous love for KK`s jaw acting) that ADM made $30,000 from 4 theaters on Wednesday. Any hope this is a bad number?
CJohn
Same thing I heard all throughout Eclipse. In fact, every week, people were more and more convinced that 300 m was a pipe dream. It wasn't.With Eclipse, they had Bella's birthday. This wont make 300M. I am thinking on 280-290M.
Rovex
...and its certainly not 'better'. Its a horrible movie on every level in a way even Eclipse didnt manage.
tawasal
I believe it can finish around 280-290m
