I didn't hate the first one, but it was nothing spectacular. The ending I really didn't like though, and if that ending is supposed to be what leads into the sequel then... eh.

 

Don't hate the idea of Jon Chu. His G.I Joe was the superior G.I Joe film IMO (not saying much but still)

well at least there's a release date & Morgan Freeman, and Michael Caine indeed come back yay!

Come on. As if the director matters for this movie 

actually it did matter

I attribute the BO success of the original to Louie as much as the cast 

but now I only excited b/c of the latter
