Spiderman - No Way Home Records Strong Second Weekend

Spiderman No Way Home had a strong second weekend almost 27 crore nett in its second weekend which is the second best second weekend post the pandemic after Sooryavanshi and the film has now hit the 175 crore nett mark and it should hit 200 crore nett in its third weekend.

 

 

These are very good numbers for the second weekend as it lost more than 50% of its showcasing at major multiplexes due to the release of 83. The film has outperformed in the South but all Hindi circuits have done well and the biggest result will be in the North as both Delhi / UP and East Punjab surpass the numbers of Sooryavanshi.

 

 

Spiderman - No Way Home has also become the first film cross the $1 billion mark worldwide post pandemic and the film is still running strong across mark. The film has done almost $470 million in its home market of US / Canada and may finish among the top three grossers of all time in North America. The top five finish is a certainty as the film brings the US box office back to life. The business of Spiderman - No Way Home till date is as follows.

Tuesday Update:  

 

Studio's Numbers -  234.5 Crores or ~30.84m USD

 

Charlie's Number - 220 Crores or  ~28.9m USD

 

PS: Why two numbers? Well, Charlie says only 18% Tax and he isn't wrong but Studio says f*** that we give 28% Tax.  So, the difference as NWH's Nett. Collection -  183 Crores till Today~

$2M diff is huge but no big impact between $35M and $37M final run

Watched it and it's good actually. They can always release it to OTT anyway. 

 

Maybe, RRR will postponed too, if it happens during new year's 1st week and 2nd it can salvage things.

I don't see this movie growing... i  heard from ppl who have watched it saying movie is good but it just did not create that must watch or interest factor among other audiences.

 

This one along with Sooryavanshi was overhyped to large extent....latter passed while former failed big time!

Spiderman - No Way Home Has Very Good Second Week

Spiderman No Way Home collected 41.50 crore nett in its second week taking its total to almost 190 crore nett. The film will should beat the numbers of Sooryavanshi over the weekend to become the highest grossing film in India this year.

 

It will beat Sooryavanshi but it is running in a neck to neck race with the Telugu film Pushpa - The Rise which also stands at around 190 crore nett after two weeks and both films released in the same week with Spiderman - No Way Home releasing one day earlier. It remains to be seen which film comes out on top in the final count though the odds are on the side of Pushpa as the Hindi version of that film alone will start to challenge Spiderman - No Way Home in the third week.

 

The film will probably fall short of the 228 crore nett of Infinity War which is the second highest grossing Hollywood film in India. It will be the third Hollywood film to cross the 200 crore nett mark in India. The business of Spiderman - No Way Home till date is as follows.

Yes APTS is 110.

 

Day 1 Gross is ₹38.2cr in India and ₹35.7cr in APTS.

 

Nizam - ₹11.7cr (₹7.8cr share)

Ceeded - ₹5.1cr (₹4.5cr share)

Andhra - ₹18.8cr (₹10.7cr worth share + ₹7.1cr hires)

 

Total - ₹35.7cr (₹30.2cr share)

 

Nizam and Ceeded are actual gross. Andhra is estimated a bit due to hires. What I do is, take worth share + an assumed % of hires recovered on day 1. Those 7.1cr are for full run, I take depending on the performance of film, % hires recovered. For VS I took 35%, so ₹13.2cr estimated share for the day and based on that ₹18.8cr gross.

Thanks for the detailed info but how come ABO arrived at 45cr....they seem have updated on Dec-16-2021...came across just now 🤔

2022 will be more interesting with RRR/KGF2/LSC

 Pushpa is the highest grosser in India for 2021 despite not doing great in Telugu home market..

It's on course to do 85c+ nett in hindi,,,which in my opinion is more impressive than what Baahubali-1  did in 2015(115c nett).

 

Not associated with any big production house, no promotions whatsover, while the audio/songs are chartbusters in south india,,.doubt if they had same impact in hindi..

 

2022 my predictions: RRR > KGF-2 ~ LSC
