Big drop on Monday, Game Over.

Quite normal drop of ~67% from Sunday for a Hollywood film.

The Batman - 69%
Jurassic World: Dominion - 73%
Multiverse of Madness - 69%
Love and Thunder - 72%

Far From Home - 70%
Captain Marvel - 65%

None of these are in particular accepted movies.

Reception in India is not even close to USA, so game over, won't do 100 crs.

The extent to which the excitement for Avatar: The Way Of Water has reached can be seen from the impressive advance booking the film is generating. As per 20th Century Studios India, over 15,000 tickets for the film have been already been sold in premium formats in 45 screens in a span of just three days. The advance sales are expected to rise even further as there are still three weeks before the film releases in theatres on 16 December.

not really a serious thing, it will release.

Are you saying this is gonna be a bargain chip? 400 theaters is not a small amount.

And I notice a huge hype of A2 in India, as I pass by different language of trailer, the pan-India language receive huge view count and response. They should really have a film premiere in India.

It is in both indian theaters and disney's interests for the film to play, so it will most likely play. One of the two sides will fold.

that was so high,is that means Avatar presale data is impressive?

Not as of now but Avatar is having huge release in South India, plus tickets have increased a lot in South since Endgame. Can potentially do ₹50cr in South itself vs around ₹18cr for Endgame.

Yes it could be 120-150cr Day 1 instead

Right now feels like 100 would be max, basically depends on how big North can go. South will be making big gains over Endgame, if North matches Endgame it will be around 90cr. If it make like 20% gain, then can hit 100cr.

This is the projected South, IW are actuals. All others are estimates.

  A:EG NWH A:IW A2
MUM 14.00 7.90 8.61
DUP 9.25 5.30 5.96
EP 4.30 2.00 2.70
Rest 10.00 5.00 5.50
TN 5.20 3.50 3.00 7.00
APTS 4.50 4.60 2.20 15.00
Kerala 1.30 1.40 0.88 4.00
Mysore 5.00 3.00 2.48 10.00

how big North can go

The prices are all time high , i thought NWH was pushing it but the rates for this is insane and they will get filled by next friday since there's only 1 pvr here. Even without the fanboy hype of NWH A2 may bag hefty sum just coz of the premium seat prices.
