Sony has reported 34 crore and 81 crore for opening and total respectively.

 

TASM2 has 4-day opening and may open with 50 crore. Should get around 2x multiplier from 4-day opening.

India didn't have good tracking until recently. But I remember reading that Titanic had done 50cr+ in 1998. Before multiplexes were built and the economic growth had not inflated prices. Right now that would be like 500cr+.

Titanic was a monster even in my little town down south. It ran for 100 days, that is unheard of for a Hollywood movie.

Whoa, 2 States crossed 100 crore in India? I saw the movie here a few weeks ago and enjoyed it a lot. I was surprised because the show I went to was 90% full in its 2nd weekend, very rare for a Bollywood movie. Apparently it's a big success in India too.

$2.899m (NETT) Godzilla had an average weekend as it grossed around 17 crore nett over its first weekend. It is the sixth highest opening weekend for a Hollywood release but such a figure would have been okay a few years back with higher figures expected today.
