1. ATP is ₹160 ($2.4) Approx for Bollywood this year, South India is bit lower.

...

3. If I am understanding your question right, you wanna know magnitude of Baahubali 2. Baahubali 2 was watched by 105 million people, which will be among top 20 most watched films in single country. BOM numbers are bit higher for films in USA. In China, I think only WW 2 is higher than BB2. In India, Sholay, Gadar, HAHK (not sure), Mother India, Mughal-e-Azam are higher in all time list.

Thank you a lot.

Yes, those two answers are the main points of interest.

I try to imagine the feel a native has for that number, and I try to understand the general impact better see the average ticket price - A EG is interesting too, but less than getting a better feel / impression for the complete market.

How to understand one actual number without having the feel for the whole otherwise 😉

I did learn a bit during CM's release, but not enough.

Endgame ATP for first week was around ₹205 and overall will be ₹185-190.

Though the range is quite big. In premium multiplexes its around ~₹600 while there are single screens with ₹40 even.

In 4-5 theatres I watch film at, 3D is around ₹200-350, depending on watching on weekdays/weekend.

2D is around ₹150-300.

2. There are 14 IMAX screens, iirc, they contributed around 1.5% of total business of Endgame. IMAX tickets range from ₹450-1200 in these 14 IMAX in various parts of country.

That's interesting. Here the average would be around $3.2-3.3 for the whole country. Compared to other countries, it's very cheap, but apparently it's even cheaper in India. In Jakarta, on weekends the prices can go up to $5.3 for regular and $10 for premium seats. IMAX though, surprisingly has around the same ticket prices as regular screen, even IMAX 3D.

I am sure @Charlie Jatinder is talking about Average ticket prices. Ticket prices in premium screens in Mumbai or Delhi should be higher? I guess it could be due to India having still a huge rural population where movie ticket prices are dirt cheap.

But would average ticket prices for Avengers would be so low? it must be mostly Cities phenomenon?

That song in the end increased the impact.

I know some people thought fat thor was just a trope, but his scenes when he goes back to the Asgard in the past shows he was suffering from PTSD/Depression and was in a dark place mentally.
