baumer
This is the part of the game that some like and others hate. I like it, as I think it's fun and since I love movie trivia, I have incorporated it into the game since year one. For those of you playing this game for the first time, this is very simple. I will ask you a series of trivia questions all about movies. Most of the answers can be found on line, I concede that. There is nothing I can do about this in today's information age. However there will be a couple of questions that you might not be able to find on line, which means you will actually have to know the answer from seeing the film. This is different in that you will have a week to send me your answers, and yes, you send me your answers by pm, you do not post your answers here. Everyone has the same questions. As soon as you send me your answers, I will give you one chance to change an answer. So if you send me your answers and I tell you that you have one wrong, you have one chance to get it right. After that, you do not have a second opportunity to get any corrections. As soon as you are scored, I post your score and add it to your current score. Now someone here is going to have to give me questions. I expect them to be fair. Last year they were not and I scored very poorly. I'm open to pretty much anyone giving me trivia but again it has to be fair. Don't ask me what Simba had for breakfast at the 98 minute mark of The Lion King. If you have any questions, you ask them here. No one is to help anyone with this. This is 25,000 points. Good luck!! 1) What University did Archie Leach say he went to in A Fish Called Wanda? 2000 2) What was the girls name in Halloween who got strangled by the phone chord while talking with Laurie? 2000 3) What film directed by Wes Craven was banned for 32 years in Australia? 2000 4) What city was Jack from in Titanic? 2000 5) What were the name of Rocky's two turtles in Rocky (1976) 2000 6) In what film did Robert Downey Jr. play a rich kid who falls so far from grace that he has to give blow jobs to pay off a debt? 4000 7) In Jaws (you know I have to have a Jaws question) how much does Quint want to kill the shark? 3000...and for 2000 bonus points, what does that give you? 8) I'll give you a cast of a film, you tell me what film it is: 2000 Michael Rooker, Donald Sutherland, Dale Dye, Sally Kirkland, Walter Mathau 9) What movies are these tag lines from? 1000 each A) On ------- 40 Ordinary People sat down as strangers and stood up as one Fear Can Hold you Prisoner. Hope can set you free. C) Before Sam was murdered, he told Molly that he's love and protect her forever. D) It's not about how hard you hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward Good luck! Pm me your answers! #ED
Don't ask me what Simba had for breakfast at the 98 minute mark of The Lion King. That's a lot more easier than your questions!

Dementeleus
I actually know 7 of these without any internet search. Isn't the point to do it without any internet search? I can change up a couple if baumer thinks they're too easy. (Out of curiosity, which ones stump you?) The point may be to do it without Googling but too many points at stake to stick to the point (Not that I would ever Google the answers - I believe in the games integrity ) Edited August 12, 2013 by grim22
baumer
Everyone uses the search, all of my questions I think can be found using Google.
Michael Gary Scott
I have a really bad memory so I need to google
Dementeleus
It would be interesting (and challenging) to come up with un-googleable questions.
baumer
Yea, but that's hard. Almost everything is googleable. Try this. When is Michael's birthday in Jaws? They never say it but if you know the movie, you can piece it together.
Goffe
It would be interesting (and challenging) to come up with un-googleable questions. that would be too harsh, for me at least. I only watched Titanic and Halloween of those movies somewhat mentioned in the trivia, even these questions I had to google
kitik
Strange days and the movie cast one. The Lance Henrikson/Adrian Pasdar movie? That's one of the coolest movies of all time!!!! Watch it!

The Stingray
There are some that I definitely don't know, but I don't want to cheat. So my question is, do you need to answer all of them to get points?
narniadis
It's not cheating to look them up - some I knew right away others I didn't and won't have time to watch them to find out.
baumer
You have to look them up and no you don't have to get all of them right to get points.
