I'd say it's pretty likely all the fans of the show/books hate it because we've grown up and view them through tinted glasses while kids of today get behind it.

I find it interesting that Ethan knows who Dylan Minnette is but have no idea who Nick Robinson and Ty Simpkins are. Just calling them older brother and younger brother on Jurassic World thread.

It's probably going to look campy as hell which fits right in with the Goosebumps books.  This is one movie that can be cheesy and silly yet still be awesome.
