fishstick
SAG is tomorrow. And there are NO nominations that could annoy me more than hers.I`d be super annoyed if Hanna shit made an out of blue showing. CoolioD1
Also I hope something good comes out of this late Nick Nolte resurgence. Maybe Von Sydow not showing up is a sign that his performance isn't as OMFG amazing as the early screenings suggested. And these could prove what I said yesterday about Close and Mara having no buzz is true. fishstick
Serkis got CC nom. I doubt AMPAS and SAG (especially SAG) will follow the cue but this is the further he`s ever managed. We`ll see how GG responds. They like to show off.besides, critic awards don`t mean shit. The best predictor are the guilds and even they don`t get it 100% (cough DGA and Nolan cough). 4815162342
Not entirely true. The NYFCC, LAFCA, NBR, NSFC, and BFCA (Critics Choice) are all pretty influential. Most of the rest are just window dressing to gauge whether a sweep is in thecards.
rockNrollaDIM
Tons of love for Drive. Nice. And Hanna got a couple nods too, hah!I hope "Man or a Muppet" wins best song!
rockNrollaDIM
Imagine if McCarthy wins supporting actress. Haha. It's still a wide open category.
acsc1312
No doubt McCarthy gets a nom at SAG :/. It seems like the acting noms for critic's choice will probably be the Oscar noms. Take out Gosling and Olsen and that's it. So glad to see Nolte gaining momentum. And Drive!
fishstick
Lots of Drive love but zero for Gosling. Because he`s so unpleasent to everyone. That must be the reason why Maramania isn`t happening so far. her interviews didn`t come off sympathetic and likable.
rockNrollaDIM
fish, what do you think of Rooney Mara? "Maramania" aside, I mean.

Though admittedly he does come across as awkward in some of his actual interviews, if that's the reason people don't vote for him... *sigh*

zenithtim
10 noms for both Hugo and The Artist at Critics Choice Awards. It looks like The Artist is the Oscar front-runner right now, followed closely by Hugo and The Descendants. Scorsese should win the Best Director tho.

CoolioD1
Seems they really dug The Help but didn't give it an Ensemble nod, even though it got 4 acting nods... odd.
