Don't see it happening this week.

Well not this week-but next week yes.

Prisoners will win every day next week I'm sure, and of course Cloudy 2 will win every day the week after that. (With Prisoners at number 2)

Not even a competition. Games are far more expensive than a movie ticket.

Nor worth of comparison if that's where he was going.

I've not owned a game system since Super Nintendo, what was that mid-90s?

I'd rather watch 5-7 movies at $12 a pop then spend that same coin on one video game.

Clearly to each their own though.

We really are in the dead zone for movies right now. Not even close to a 2nd page in the daily thread and nothing much interesting in the next couple of weekends for wide releases. Heck, the movie I'm most interested in, Nothing Left To Fear, only gets 1 showing tomorrow (I'm becoming a fan of these Sinister Cinema productions). Ah well, at least October looks like things will pick up before we go into overdrive in November.

Cloudy 2 is coming soon as is Gravity so those should pick up some spark.

I didn't care much for Cloudy 1, hence my lack of excitement for 2, but it does look like the best bet  in the short term. As for Gravity, I'm sure the acting and FX will be solid, but I'm not sure how it will play out. Admittedly I haven't seen anything beyond a couple of trailers, but apart from the accident it looks like it might be dull. Just my first impression from a limited sampling.
