AMC AND SONY PICTURES TELEVISION ANNOUNCE THE SEASON THREE RENEWAL OF EMMY® NOMINATED DRAMA "BETTER CALL SAUL"

Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould Return as Co-Showrunners for a Ten-Episode Season

The First Two Seasons of Saul Established the Series as one of the Highest Rated Dramas on Cable

New York – March 15, 2016 – AMC and Sony Pictures Television announced today the renewal of critically acclaimed drama Better Call Saul for a third season. The prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, Saul will return with a ten-episode season, helmed by showrunners Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould. The series is executive produced by Gilligan, Gould, Mark Johnson (Breaking Bad, Diner, Rain Man), Melissa Bernstein (Breaking Bad, Rectify, Halt and Catch Fire) and Breaking Bad alum Thomas Schnauz.

"What Vince, Peter, Bob and the entire team have accomplished with Better Call Saul is truly rare and remarkable. They have taken one of the most iconic, immersive and fan-obsessive (in the best possible way) shows in television history and created a prequel that stands on its own," said Charlie Collier, president of AMC, SundanceTV and AMC Studios. "Watching Jimmy McGill's thoughtful, melodic and morally flexible transformation into Saul Goodman is entertaining and delighting millions of fans, whether their starting point was Breaking Bad or not. This series has its own feel, pace and sensibility and we can't wait to see what this incredibly talented group comes up with next in season three."

"It's been an extraordinary show that lives up to its predecessor," said Jamie Erlicht and Zack Van Amburg, presidents of programming and production for Sony Pictures Television. "Vince, Peter, Bob and the team are delivering brilliant storytelling and we're proud to have AMC as our partner for another well-earned season."

Better Call Saul was nominated for seven 2015 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for Jonathan Banks, and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Bob Odenkirk, who also received SAG and Golden Globe nominations. The four episode live+3 ratings averages for season two are 4.4 million viewers per episode, including 2.7 million adults 25-54 and 2.5 million adults 18-49.

Better Call Saul is set six years before Saul Goodman meets Walter White. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny and hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside and often against Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut, a beloved character first introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into a man who puts the criminal in "criminal lawyer."

FOX has renewed hit drama series GOTHAM for a third season, it was announced today by David Madden, President, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company.

"It takes a very special team to tell the tales of GOTHAM. For the past two seasons, Bruno, Danny and John have masterfully honored the mythology of GOTHAM and brought it to life with depth, emotion and memorable high drama," said Madden. "This incredibly talented cast has redefined these iconic characters for a new generation, and we couldn't be more proud of this show."

GOTHAM is averaging nine million Total Viewers across multi-platforms. GOTHAM ranks among this season's Top 10 entertainment programs overall among Men 18-49, and places among the season's Top 5 broadcast dramas among Men 18-49 and Men 18-34.

Also, Penguin's (Robin Lord Taylor) visit to some old friends leads him to meet his father, Elijah Van Dahl (guest star Paul Reubens), and Bruce (David Mazouz) practices his street smarts.

Later this season, villains continue to invade GOTHAM, as Arkham Asylum and the mysteries it holds take center stage, as Hugo Strange's (guest star BD Wong) wild experiments create even more chaos and legendary villains.

GOTHAM is an origin story of the great DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told. From executive producer/writer Bruno Heller (The Mentalist, Rome), GOTHAM follows one cop's rise through a dangerously corrupt city teetering between good and evil, and chronicles the birth of one of the most popular super heroes of our time.

GOTHAM is based upon the characters from DC Comics and is produced by Warner Bros. Television. Executive producer Bruno Heller wrote the pilot, which was directed and executive-produced by Emmy Award nominee Danny Cannon (the CSI franchise, Nikita). I think i am a little late in here..

But had anyone mention about the cancellation of Dark Matters? I think that is one unique and top quality science and fiction drama that many viewers will miss

I just watched through all 3 seasons on Netflix. Loved it!!

It wasn’t until after I finished that I found out it had been cancelled. I hope the creator of the show is able to finish it one day.

THE CW NETWORK EXPANDS ITS PRIMETIME SCHEDULE TO SIX NIGHTS BEGINNING FALL 2018

The CW to Grow to 12 Hours of Primetime Each Week with the Addition of Two Hours of Original, First-Run Programming on Sundays for the 2018-19 Broadcast Season

February 14, 2018 (Burbank, CA) – For the upcoming 2018-19 season, The CW Network will expand its primetime schedule to include Sunday night, growing its line-up of original first-run programming from five nights to six nights, it was announced today by Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW.    When the new season launches in October 2018, The CW will offer 12 hours of primetime series each week, Sunday-Friday (8:00-10:00pm ET/PT).

Leading The CW's efforts to expand into Sunday primetime were Chris Brooks, The CW's Executive Vice President, Network Distribution, and Ann Miyagi, Senior Vice President and General Counsel, who worked closely with all of the network's key affiliate partners to secure clearances across the country, including the Sinclair Broadcast Group, Tribune Broadcasting, CBS Television Stations and Nexstar Media Group.

"By expanding to six nights, The CW is now able to give our fans even more of the series they're so passionate about. Broadcasting remains the foundation of our multi-platform approach to bringing our programming to viewers. Over the past seven years, The CW has added more than 80 hours of original scripted programming to its schedule – now that number can continue to climb, as we grow our broadcast line-up, and continue to add content on every platform," said Pedowitz. "I'd like to thank Chris and Ann for being instrumental in making this happen, and to thank all of our station groups for being such terrific partners as we add Sundays to our primetime schedule this fall on all our affiliates across the country."

Chris Ripley, President and CEO of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., commented, "As one of the largest CW affiliate groups, we are excited to see The CW Network reaffirm its commitment to broadcasting by expanding its schedule to Sunday night.  We value our relationship and look forward to an even stronger audience following with more of The CW's popular primetime programming."

"We are very pleased with the growth and success of The CW over its 12-year history and look forward to welcoming the expansion of the Network's primetime schedule to 12 hours," said Peter Dunn, President, CBS Television Stations. "Mark and his team have done a tremendous job of putting together a terrific Monday-Friday schedule. We are excited to partner with them to grow our ratings and revenue by adding original series programming on Sunday nights."

"Through our station affiliations, Nexstar and The CW have built a deep and successful long-term relationship based on a shared commitment to the growing number of viewers and markets we serve throughout the country," said Perry A. Sook, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Nexstar Media Group, Inc. "We are delighted that The CW is adding a sixth night of its unique brand of acclaimed programming, as when combined with Nexstar's high quality, original, local news and other exclusive local content, we are delivering great entertainment and information to viewers and an excellent marketing solutions platform for local and national advertisers."
