mahnamahna
What should be the range for Cloudy 2 DOM final gross? Assuming $40-$42 million OW and zero competition for the next 4 weeks, I'd guess 1. $41.5 million 2. $29 million ($78 million) 3. $22.5 million ($105 million) 4. $15 million ($124 million) 5. $11.5 million ($138 million) 6. $5 million ($144 million) 7. $3 million ($148 million) 8. $2.5 million ($151 million) 9. $1.5 million ($153 million) Total: $157 million
kayumanggi
RUSH: $3.7M Friday (est) / $3.96M Domestic Total / 2,297 Locations / $1,611 Location Avg. https://twitter.com/BoxOffice/status/383956141681958912
rainbowtrout
The marketing for Don Jon was all over the place. It even was a sponsor for Jay Mohr's radio show the last few weeks.
rainbowtrout
Is Rush a hard R rating? Many reviews/articles point out how much nudity is in the film. That might keep some people away who might have been interested in the story.
kayumanggi
PRISONERS: $3.38M Friday (est) / $31.06M Domestic Total / 3,290 Locations / $1,027 Location Avg. https://twitter.com/BoxOffice/status/383959375976861696
Jake Gittes
At that rate Prisoners won't get to $70m, maybe not even $65m if Gravity and Captain Phillips hit it hard. Still a nice success, though.
CaptainJackSparrow
I am going to have to watch the trailer for Don Jon now. I rarely watch TV, which may explain why I havn't seen anything for it yet.
Ezen Baklattan
Going to see Rush in an hour. I'm glad to see it's doing well.Well, at least not tanking. Edited September 28, 2013 by Gravetti
The Futurist
How is a Rated R movie about porn addiction a flop when it opens to 9 mill. Come on cjohn Still, JGL had a blitzkrieg marketing campain and they were probably expected a bit more. EW cover, guest senior editor on IMDB, talk shows you name it, he did it all. And Scarjo is one of the biggest stars at the moment.

It lasts at least 8 seconds in a 2 hour plus movie and you see people making love : something kids should never be subjected to. Rush is a really disturbing film. grey ghost
Scarlett Johansson has yet to carry a movie.I don't think she has ever had much star power.
Jack Nevada
Only thing that matters to me about Don Jon is the positive reaction its got.

Jack Nevada
Scarjo has as much drawing power as Meagan Fox. So not very much then. Though the public seems to like Scarlett Johansson much more than Megan Fox.

Gopher
Legitimately disappointed in this weekend. 9.3m for Cloudy 2 is barely more than the first movie did four years ago. This is the first family movie since Planes and it's not going to break 40m. 3.7m is weak for Rush and Prisoners collapsed.
bapi
I really wanted to see 10M+ for Don Jon, 14M+ for Rush and under 40% drop for Prisoners. None of that will be happen and Cloudy 2 OW is quite 'meh' too.
Olive
Cloudy 2, Rush and Baggage Claimall received an A- CinemaScore from moviegoers. Don Jon was the odd-man out with a C+. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/box-office-cloudy-2-tops-638629
Goffe
Were you expecting Descipable Me 2 numbers? there's a space between 10m and 35m, you know, right?
Sam
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/box-office-cloudy-2-tops-638629That's good for Rush. I'd given it an A- too. Even though it's not doing so hot in US, it's still solid, and OS will make up for it.I'm not big on Don Jon, thought it was...okay.
