So I've kind of fallen behind on the Gravity path ... where are we REALLY looking at for a finish.  I've seen people create asinine clubs like >Iron Man 3 .

 

I would guess 250 is pretty much locked, but wonder how the competition in the coming weeks will affect it.

Oscar buzz & blitz may push it past $300M

 

That's the best case scenario and it will barely pass $300 million in that case. It is at $171 million and the dailies are in the $2.5 million range.  The competition is only going to increase in November as it will lose all of its IMAX screens next month.

It's still trailing INCEPTION, although its third weekend was slightly better (and it should hold better in the coming weeks). It's still losing ground in weekdays, though, and that won't change for another couple weeks (at best).

 

Inception had the advantage of being released in the summer though.
