5.3 "The Ventures"

Since I got very unlucky with elimination, all I can do is hover over to the side and occasionally make menacing quotes to my team's foes. Like a passive-aggressive Force Ghost

And remember, this is Creator's game we are talking about here. You could still win the season even though you've just been eliminated.

5.3 "The Ventures"

The Ventures truly kick off this week as each team sent its Captain into combat to fight for victory. Only one team will benefit entirely from The Ventures. Only one team will be able to reap the true benefits of this week's Ventures.

It is a trying week. In a deviation from the norm, only one player from each team submitted answers to the weekend competition questions. Each Team Captain predicted as a representative of his team, so a lot of burden falls on him to ace the challenge. It was a pretty straight forward week, and the scores are trickling in now. The side effects are about to be felt, and the Team Captains are about to venture into a great conflict.

First to be acknowledged is Jim Shorts of "The Equation Sensation." Jim has assumed the role of Team Captain now that former Team Captain and Season 4 winner/Player of the Season 4815162342 (a.k.a. Numbers) has been unexpectedly eliminated. Fellow teammate, and tragically the one who eliminated partner Numbers, Goffe stood to the side this week to allow Jim the chance to compete in The Ventures. Goffe was feeling too emotionally turbulent after his unfortunate clash with Numbers. When it came down to the line, Goffe was just slightly better this time than the glorified Numbers, and that allowed Goffe to stay in...but at a cost. Now he deals with the struggle of overcoming his grief at ousting his most loyal ally. Still, Jim stands by his side, and he knows that Numbers' loss is not an end to the greatness of "The Equation Sensation."

But it isn't "The Equation Sensation" who is standing as the top dogs at the moment, although The Ventures can change that. Instead, Tawasal has propelled his darling team "Tawasal's Gathering" to the forefront. A bold move on Tawasal's, a veteran of three season, end as now Tawasal is notoriously outlasting supposedly superior veterans, chief among which include returning veteran and team captain of "The Shadowgods" XenoZodiac and just barely edging out Alfred. Tawasal is in it to win it, but because of his success last week he is immune from The Ventures and can abstain from participating, as was clarified last week.

Now, let's take a glimpse at how each Team Captain performed in this week's Ventures, and then we can grasp the damage/benefits that will be sown.

Alfred (of "Alfred's Alliance"):

Alfred came out on top the first game of the season, and he is a renowned trooper. But here he faltered severely in this Ventures, as he scored 63.98%. This paltry score may cost him a lot...included his or someone else's life.

Chasmmi (of "Chasmmi's Circle"):

Chasmmi has been consistent so far this season. A little less humble than the last go around, he is now a known threat...and others may exploit that. This week, he entered the Ventures and scored a decent 83.65%. More than enough to beat Alfred at least.

ChD (of "ChD's Covenant"):

ChD has been around for two seasons now, and this season, he's coming back unrelentlessly. ChD seems most comparatively in a competition with Chasmmi for some bizarre reason that will be exploited here soon. Comparative to Chasmmi, ChD scored 84.42% in this week's Venture.

Jay Salahi (of "Jay's Followers"):

Jay has been straying a bit recently, which may cost him. This week, he came out real low in the Ventures...scoring 0.00%.

Jim Shorts (of "The Equation Sensation"):

Jim is a mighty feisty warrior, as proven last season. Now that Numbers is gone, Jim will attempt to stand at the forefront of "The Equation Sensation." This week, he scored a great 93.33% in The Venture.

XenoZodiac (of "The Shadowgods"):

Coming back after a season of inactivity, long standing veteran Xeno is repping "The Shadowgods" with might and zest. Now, he entered this week's Venture and produced a solid 91.21%.

Stay tuned for more.

5.3 "The Ventures" (cont.)

Jim has come out on top. "The Equation Sensation" looks well balanced even after losing perhaps its most valuable weapon and most skilled player. Both Jim and Goffe however are not without skill of their own, and in general, the duo pack a powerful punch. They will not desire to go defeated any time soon.

But there is sabotage at play here. XenoZodiac of "The Shadowgods" quite nearly topped "The Equation Sensation". He misfired only slightly, which is unfortunate as he set a really high score. To come so close only to miss is an unfortunate occurrence. Xeno has his eyes set on Jim Shorts now, and a duel may be necessary to determine who the true victor would be, one-on-one style. Xeno is the wiser of the two, humbled and more experienced. He has tremendous strategy and skill, and his benevolence may help in his fight. Yet Jim is the more aggressive, and his anger would aid him in his attempt to top an immovable mountain, as it almost did against CEDAR. Although Jim was never able to top CEDAR last season, Xeno is not quite CEDAR, so the fight may be more even.

Xeno and Jim are dangerously close this week, so the first of a series of Challenges is to be held between the two Team Captains. Xeno shall confront Jim in one-on-one combat, and the winner will receive a special prize that he can use over the other. So Jim, Xeno, each of you will be PMed a set of instructions on what you are to do next. But understand this, for the time being, neither of you shall fear elimination...at least not as an immediate threat.

...as for everyone else, elimination may be imminent.

Xeno and Jim are entering the first Challenge this week....the first of many Challenges this week. It's time to move on to the next Challenge. This one is a doozy.

Chasmmi and ChD are so balanced, so nearly equal in skill. To see the two go head to head would be an interesting match. BUT it is not what we will see...not quite. "Chasmmi's Circle" will face "ChD's Covenant" this week in a Challenge. The loser will be eliminated. Does this mean the whole team will be eliminated? Absolutely not! Here's how it will work: Chasmmi will rank the members of ChD's team, and ChD those of Chasmmi's team. The players may choose to purchase immunities for 3 points a piece. But two people, one from each team, WILL enter a Challenge, so even if an immunity is purchased, it does not mean you'll be safe entirely. So you may wish to abstain from squandering your valuable points.

But what other Challenges lie in store? Oh, there's plenty more!
