Hernan Gonzalez
Rio 2 now stands at $201.5m. The animation held well in China on $7.5m from 5,500 screens to rank third on $23.2m after two sessions. Mexico generated $4.3m from 2,026 to rank second on $18.2m after the same amount of time. A further $3.8m from 1,486 in France boosted the tally to $9.5m for second place after two, while an outstanding $2.2m number one hold in Argentina on 296 elevated the tally to $4.8m. Brazil produced $2.5m from 762 for number three on $22.6m after four. Rio 2 opened top in Italy on $2.4m from 686. The UK and Germany both rank second and have generated $16.1m and $9.6m after three sessions, respectively. Spain stands at $6.9m after three and ranks third, while Colombia has delivered an outstanding $5.3m after two and ranks number one. Rio 2 is doing better than the first one in China, Mexico, Argentina, UK, Germany and Colombia. Worst than the first one in France, Brazil and Spain. And it has equal OW in Italy.

But it's a animation movie so they got great legs (most of the time)

Peeta Tong Karanasios
Rio 2 added $27.3 million overseas, which brings its total to $247.8 million. The movie still has Australia and South Korea on the way, and should ultimately top its predecessor's $341 million total.

Peeta Tong Karanasios
Also in France Rio 2 needs only 500k admissions to beat Rio! I don't know if it will happen but it has strong chances!
