kayumanggi
ASM2 opens full 2 weeks earlier in some European markets than US. Football season or something? Easter.

baumer
I don't see why some think this will hit a billion. For it to do that it will have to expand in many markets. I don't believe there is enough good will from the first to have that happen.

I don't believe there is enough good will from the first to have that happen.I agree. It will need a minimum of 350 mill DOM to make 1BThats not going to happen..But 800-850 mill would not surprise me
Fullbuster
Maybe not 1B,but it will beat TASM quite easily I think, mostly thanks to Asia and Latin America.

fmpro
It opens here i Denmark in 2 days and presales are really picking up..I would not be surprised if it doubled CA2's 5 day(TASM thu-mon). Cap was wed-sun..
Fullbuster
OMG TASM2 first days,I couldn't wait for this.Reviews excited me a lot, best Spiderman since Spiderman 2,with great battles and funny moments.Totally what you expect from Spidey
lab276
Here's how they've done in Australia:1 30.8m2 24.4m3 24m4 17.4m15.4m will be nice.
Ent
The last one did $490M I see TASM2 finishing around $550 - $570M with a bigger improvement ibn Europe than in Asia and Latine America.
Fullbuster
I don't agree with Ent this time :pI just see a slight increase in Europe,a strong increase in Asia and small growth in Latin America because of the exchange rates there, particularly in Brazil,Venezuela and Argentina. Now that's the kind of gross I thought the fourth would have made in North America. That would translate into about 175 mill. Damn Australia, you have your priorities straight! baumer
I have no doubt this will do well internationally. The 800 mill mark shouldn't be a problem in opinion (WW of course)
picores
I've heard good things from people who has seen it. Thinking the final gross wil be around 600 OS alone. Edited April 16, 2014 by picores
MattW
I think somewhere in the 500-550 range. For the sake of naming a single number I'll say $535m.
ecstasy
TASM2 Wed will be about 23% higher than CATWS OP wed & TASM OP tu (3-Jul-12), it should top lc1.6m UK
A Marvel Fanboy
That is disappointing, only 20% higher than CA2, considering CA2 is just a B level blockbuster in Europe.

I like Garfield as an actor but the Spider-Man he plays is a bit arrogant, not as sweet as the way Maguire plays it. Cap is wholesome & pure, Superman is a boy scout but Spidey is the sweet one. Hence the popularity. Garfield's Spidey appeals to older teens who prefer their heroes bad-ass, methinks.
