Cap 2 trailer looks much better and less generic than any of Thor2's trailers.

 

That's just plain wrong. Captain America 2's trailer was just people with guns running through the city and planes crashing. The only element different from your average action movie is the Captain's starred shield. Damn, the trailers for the later Fast & Furious sequels have more disctinctive elements than Captain 2.

 

Thor 2's trailers at least introduced a level of fantasy much higher than any previous superhero film (with maybe the exception of Hellboy 2?)

What kind totals are we looking at for Captain Phillips and Gravity?

I'd say 105-120 and 260-280, respectively. They should reach the important milestones (100 and 250) before the end of the year, and then the final numbers will depend on their post-Oscar noms expansion.

for thor to hit 29.5M saturday will require more than 20% saturday increase minus midnights. Not impossible but kind of tough. I would say around 15% increase and 28M saturday and 19.5M sunday.So based on 31.5M friday I would say 79m weekend.
